Floyd Mayweather Sr. referred to him as '******ed'. When FM sr questions your intellect there's something not right.

i think dawson is going to be a victim of his own talent. what i mean is, he uses his natiral athletics and great footwork to stay out of danger, and gets offencive when there is no threat. he doesn't get payed more to get hit, so why sit down and trade punches when you don't have to? gatti did it because that was his natural temperment, but he got hit way more then he needed to (his defence in the gym was mind boggling!) so he will win, but he won't get us out of our seats.
one other thing, the hbo announce crew is a little loose with the word "dominate". glen was always in the fight and never in any danger, he just got out pointed by a faster guy who made himself a hard target. rjj dominated vinny paz. hopkins dominated tito. lets not make that fight out to be something it wasn't. soory to ramble.

What's missing with Dawson are worthy advesaries. The only noteworthy opponents at LHW are over 40. That could change soon though. Pascal and Cloud prove to be good opponents for Chad. Bute could be an interesting opponent as well. The winner of the Super Six tourney could also be a future opponent for Dawson.

No doubt. The entire fight, I was wondering if Lampley was watching another match entirely on his little monitor, because the fight I was watching was far from a domination. I like the HBO crew, but they can get REALLY annoying when they get too obvious trying to hype a fighter.

Pascal was beaten by Froch FFS. pascal cant even win a rd off of dawson, this is a huge mismatch,

No one else... but Dawson is still in the camp with the other 12 who couldn't stop Glen, so I don't know what's with "who has ever stopped Johnson", because Chad neither. And yes, their first fight belongs to the whole bunch of debated Glen Johnson losses, because a large amout of fans and part of the media had Glengoffe winning.

So sorry that I don't clap my hands when I see that the last time Chad Dawson fought a guy who wasn't born in the SIXTIES, was 2007.

The point was that Tarver and Johnson have been stopped once between then and that was a prime B-hop. You can't fault the kid for not knocking these 2 guys out. No one does.

They both were past their prime, don't you think? When you face a boxer past his prime, you have more chances to knock him out.

Chad Dawson has talent, that's for sure, but he's not passionate for the sport of boxing. He keeps repeating he wanted to play basketball, I think that tells a lot about it.
