I'm rooting for Pacquiao, and I'm not counting him out, but if someone put a gun to my head, or there was massive amounts of money on table, I'd have to go with Cotto because of his size, strength, and how he is accustomed to fighting guys who are also much bigger and stronger than Pac.

If Cotto wins,SD, UD or late stoppage
If Pacquiao wins, cuts, SD, or UD

I'd bet on Cotto, dont know what his odds are right now but im assuming come the morning of the fight Pacquaio will be a heavier favourite as the media hypes up his awaited fight with Mayweather. Cotto has dealt with all before him, and looks more settled to me now than he was for the Clottey fight. Cotto ko 10.

Cotto for me esp on the current odds. 2/1, and 7/1 on points. He has fought fast fighters before so the speed kills line does not play, he is not weight drained or past it. I actually think the odds will go the other way on fight day as money goes on Cotto. Its not many years ago he was seen as the man to beat Mayweather.

Tho there is no shame in either fighter losing this fight, neither is a fraud or finished if they get beat/stopped.

It depends on the odds. From what I'm seeing though, there's a bigger payout ffor Cotto winning (that's who I'd pick to win anyway), so my money's on him.

If my life depended on it, Cotto. I thought about it and realized at some point that if Pac was fighting Clottey, I would instantly choose Clottey based on superior strength and firepower, and Cotto is 50/50 with Clottey imho, and that made the choice a lot easier. For some reason, Cotto-Pac just seemed more uncertain than Pac-Clottey.

p4p better than Cotto, but remember how HUGE ODLH looked up close to Manny? Cotto is nearly as big as OLDH, and he's still young. I wouldn't be shocked if Pac somehow pulled it out, but going strictly with my head I have to say Cotto.

I would choose Cotto via stoppage. Cotto has fought loads of champions and been tested against many styles. One of his key attributes are his heavy hands, couple this with his elite boxing skills and you go a great recipe for a win. Pacquiao is a damn good fighter, but will he hold up against Cotto who has been able to topple much larger opponents ? it's though to say. After the ODLH fight Pacquiao gained a level of invincibility, many people are using that fight as standard for this fight, but I personally believe that Roach made the De La Hoya fight knowing that Oscar was at a disadvantage because he could not pull the trigger. So bottom line, that fight is not a good enough comparison to validate Pac's ability to deal with Cotto's size and power.

    cotto.
odds pay much better now- although i think they will even out closer to the fight- as the real gamblerz put money down- as so far its been alot of pinoy fans rushing to put money on pac.

but also- i like to bet against my guy- that way if my guy loses- i feel better cos ive made money- and if my guy wins- well then - i figure- a hundred bucks is a small price to pay to see my guy win. the theory has worked so far so well for me- havent felt bad about losing money- and i ve made some decent pot gains too.

cotto because of the way he handled boxers with good movement like carlos quintana and paulie malignaggi. manny hasn't faced a good complete fighter since fighting marquez at 130lbs.

    Cotto.
Much stronger, bigger, tougher, better chin, better skilled, beat Shane Mosley and the odds are a steal.
