seems obvious to me..,Wlads chin is suspect and Haye has great power, i mean **** its clear as day that both men have more then enuff power to put each other away, which is whats so exciting about this fight
i'd say Hayes clearly the bigger puncher since he lunges his whole body into his shots unlike Wlad, but yeah...neither man has a good beard
I'd make Haye a live underdog. Wlad should have too much for him though, his footwork is light years ahead of Valuevs, he'd have a much easier time closing the distance against Haye. Not to mention he's far more accurate, especially with his jab.
this cant be serious, i thought haye had a small chance before that fight, now he doesnt have any chance at all this fight will end with him counting lights before the 8th
I understand he's arguably the hardest p4p puncher, but that doesn't make him the hardest punching heavyweight. Are you saying he hits harder than legit heavies like Peter, Sanders, and Brewster? I doubt it.
When was the last time Wlad's chin even got grazed by a punch? For five years he's exhibited the best defense in the HW division. Steward has developed Wlad into a fighter that scarcely resembles the Sanders era Wlad. A fight between Wlad and Haye will be rounds of Wlad working the jab into Haye's face, Haye trying to get past it and failing, Wlad neglecting the right hand for fear of getting caught by Haye, Wlad pummeling Haye with jabs, and eventually a righthand bomb or two, until Haye either quits on his stool or Wlad gets the UD.
Wlad is faster than Valuev with way better technique, way better. He'll catch Haye and stop him. However I do give Haye a punchers chance
Me neither. From all the Haye hype that's everywhere since the fight, I figured this poll would be very one-sided.
and thats Haye downfall against wlad... to wide open. Haye will be like the rest... Eat jabs and left hooks and the hard straight rights...and Hayes gameplan will be out the door...Haye will spend all his energy trying not to get hit while his offence becomes NON exsistant Wlad by TKO after 8
Watching the Chagaev/Valuev fight, it was easy to see why Klitschko would completely dominate Chagaev in the manner he did. Regardless of who won their fight against Valuev more convicingly, that fight has no bearing on how Haye will do against Wladimir, unlike re Chagaev performance. I'm a big Klitschko fan. Hes probably my favourite active boxer and it feels strange saying this after spending years defending him on ESB, but I think he gets knocked out against Haye. We all know Wlad has a weakness, his chin. However, in recent years, hes protected that by modifying his defence. Basically holding as a fighter gets in close and I have no problem with that. It's perfect for a slow fighter, which all recent Klitschko opponents gave been. Thompson, Rahman, Chagaev, Austin, Brewster and Brock all had slow feet. Haye's offence worries me because the defence which has seen Klitshckogo from "vulnerable" to "steady" will be ineffectuve against Haye's counter attack and leaping hooks. As long as Haye can avoid the ramrod jab, he wins. If he can't, hell get stopped but his offence will give Klitschko more worries than any other heavyweight boxer alive.
it would be interesting seeing Haye try and run against Wlad. Wlad has pretty good footwork and speed for a man his size. Haye would get caught in the corner and KOed. All Manny and Wlad would have to work on in training camp is cutting off the ring which Wlad is already very good at.
Chag stood right in front of Wlad all night long. Great game plan:roll: If Haye moves the way he did against Valueles it would make for an interesting fight. No doubt about that.
