    He doesnt dominate it. He took two goes to beat old man Johnson, IMO would lose to Bhop and is far from certain to beat a number of other guys.

    That aint domination.

    The Johnson win was an important win, I'm glad he took the fight, even though Chad didn't make it an exciting fight he got a clear victory this time. However, this argument will get better when he starts taking on the other prime winning light heavies of his generation.

    You have to look at schedule strength like they do in college football. A two loss team with a hard schedule can be ranked higher than an undefeated team with a weaker one.

    Adamek stands out as a great win. Tarver and Johnson x2 each are also good.

    Can't wait for...

    winner of BHop / Jones 2 assuming they both win upcoming fights

    I hope instead we don't get....

    i think he is the best LHW at this moment and will beat kessler and hopkins if they will ever fight , and i can understand how he can be in the top 10 p4p these days , but thinking of it : he was downed by an older version of the harding who was stopped by roy jones and he has a dubious decision win over glen johnson in their first fight. and he is/was bigger than both.
    but back to the topic : yes , in our time he is a top10 p4p.

    Dawson would straight kill Pascal ... Pascal is good but he's not as discipline as Dawson ... he showed that in his fight with Froch and he gave up some rounds that he should've won against Diaconu ... overall though it should be a good fight, but we have to remember ... Dawson vacated the IBF and WBC titles (both titles he won off accomplished reigning champions) ...

    With that being said outside of RJJ ... he's won two majority belts ... there's too much politics that go along with winning titles and unifying them, thats the reason why Joe Cal had such a hard time and he still vacated them shits in the end.

    Let's be realistic ...

    The division is not all that weak, its just not much exposure on that division ... the weakest division in boxing is the CW and the LMW division(s).

    You still have Tavoris Cloud, who had a chance to fight Dawson (appear on the undercard on HBO) and set up a nice fight between the two. He won the title off of former 2-time IBF champ Clinton Woods.

    Jean Pascal who seems to be better than ever now that he's move up in weight.

    You have the winner of Jones vs Hopkins (two living legends) fighting to set the record straight.

    There's also the whole super middleweight division + Kelly Pavlik + Erdei (money talks) + Campillo or Shemenov (who I would like to see sometime in the US)

    Most of the guys in the division are around 26-31 ... with the exception of the old timers ...

    Dawson beat the CW champion (his only loss to date) and the guy just moved up to HW to fight an established HW ... he proved that he can compete on a higher level than just LHW.

    just checked "the ring"s p4p list. and no i don't see him top 10. thinking if all these guys were magically the same size, could he beat them? i think not. top 15 yes, but he hasn't broken 10 yet in my opinion. before him: haye and paul williams for sure. in the very deep welter area, there are a few who would give him problems.
