Cheers to Cotto and Pac, and to this Saturday....

    Pac was a rising force and now seems to be at his prime, and wants to add to his greatness by challenging one of the best fighters around today, in a weightclass that is not his own.

    Cotto is the one who has to show that he is good enough not to be overcome, where other fighters without a certain quality no doubt would.

    Pac has shown himself to be one of the purest of warriors inside the ring, and a gentlemen outside of it. One could hardly ask for more from their fighter.....

    Cotto has fought just about everyone there is to fight, you line them up and he will knock them down. You rarely hear him complain about anything, and is one of the most stoic champions of recent memory.

    These two champions, pound for pound fighters, and warriors.... will clash this saturday night in what will be, for me personally, one of the biggest and most anticipated fights of my life as a fan, and one in which should not dissapoint given the talent and ability of pac, with the skill and style of cotto, and what they both bring to the table, and that is heart, pride, and will to win, should make a beatifully brutal masterpiece that is fought with skill and craft, but with a bloodthirsty ambition. And although firmly rooted in Cottos corner, have nothing but respect for Pac. They symbolise so much that is right with boxing, and make it the greatest sport on earth.

    This will be one of the crowning pieces in eather ones crown as they continue to build their throne, and i couldnt be happier with eather fighter for making this fight happen.

    Let the winner get the props they deserve, and the loser able to bounce back from defeat. I just wanted to make a thread giving thanks to both these warriors, if more fighters were like these two, boxing would be better off.

    I hope everyone enjoys the fight ;)

    amen!! great post kid!!! So many are getting caught up in who they think they will win to not see how great this fight is. this is whats great for boxing. as long as thia fight is refferreeed fair and the judges scores are fair(if it gets to that) all w ill be well. cant wait for this one!! going to be a great night

    This is what its all about two great warriors going at it and regardless of what happens both fighters deserve great respect for giving us fans what we want.

    Amen. Finally a positive post that just pays respects to both fighters...well done, and I'm like a ****ing excited little kid on his way to Disney World. I can't wait until Saturday.

    Excellent post! It's really refreshing to read a post that doesn't **** on one fighter to make the other look good, it's gonna be a great fight and both fighters deserve props just for taking the fight!!

    Two great fighters, elites in the current game, at or near their primes, taking each other on. It's a fight that fans love because it's a fight that pits different skill sets and natural abilities against each other.

    Both are complete warriors. They will come to fight.

    We're not likely to see another Ray Leonard or Duran, but in these guys, we're seeing everything that is good about professional boxing. Bring on the fight!
