Valuev has a rematch option on Haye!!

We all want to see the top fights, but unfortunately boxing politics looks like it will dictate that we will have to wait...it will happen though. At 29 he is still reasonably young for a heavyweight, he's got years left in him if he wants...I think he will have 4-5 more fights and call it a day

 

You can bet that Sauerland has at least 3 options on the next Haye fights!!! That's the way they do business of course their not the only one doing it.

 

Even if sauerland have 3 options there gona at least want the 3rd option to be a Klischko fight, at the end of the day, they will make more money in one haye v vitali/wlad fight than they prob will making him fight random wba rated fighters. Haye will fight Ruiz then he will take on a Kiischko most probably vitali as he's pretty fired up!!!

 

Vitali wants to knock Haye out ASAP!!!!!!! However, Haye's co-promoter would not allow such, and it so appears that it's Don King. Haye would never fight Vitali or Vlad anyway as has been proven. Haye loves track & field.

 

I admit that the performances against Liakhovich and Beck looked good but, in my opinion, the performance on Saturday suppasses them. You can only beat what's put in front of you, as the cliche says, and Haye is a couple of levels above Liakhovich and defintly incomparable with the limited Beck. (By the way, I also think that the Valuev performance against Barrett was a pretty solid one though, obviously, not as good as Haye's.)

Don't get me wrong, I know, as most of us do, that Haye made that fight a lot harder than it should have been on Saturday. When I gave him rounds they were rounds in which he made Valuev look like the very limited fighter he is, but in the rounds I gave Valuev, Haye landed few punches of note and, in my opinion, didn't do enough to earn the round.

Haye is a clever fighter and will go into the re-match knowing that in their first fight he could have lost with different judges. His work rate will double and he will make it obvious that he is winning.

By the way, a question to those who think Haye won. (Which seems to be most people on here)... Did David Haye think he was behind on the cards as he came out for the 12th? Is that why he went "gun-ho" and tried to get the knockout?

 

:-( He only did what any fighter with gas left in the tank going into the last would try to do, close out the show in style...I really am surprised that you scored the fight to Valuev, to me its as clear as day who won the fight and it wasn't the big Russian

 

Quite, he hardly went gung-ho, he just turned on the style a bit more and then when he wobbled valuev he went for him. As soon as it was obvious Valuevs head had cleared he went back to the boxing.

 

Haye didn't go "gun-ho" in the last round, it was Valuev who opened up more (because he knew he was down on points) which allowed Haye to catch him. If Valuev opened up earlier Haye would of won more convincingly and maybe got the KO.

A question for you, how did you score it for Valuev when he landed less than half of what Haye did and Hayes shots were much crisper and pin point accurate?

 

Fights are scored on a round by round basis and not as a whole so I never read anything into final stats. Also, this isn't amatuer boxing where there are scoring punches and non scoring puncing. But I certainly admit that when Haye landed they were cleaner. However, he didn't land more than 1 or 2 clean punches in most rounds in my opinion.

 

Forgive me but I just cannot work out how you can score the fight to valuev.

I agree and that is not how I score fights but Valuev barely landed 1 clean punch a round infact on average he didn't as to my count he landed 11 clean shots the whole fight making it less than 1 a round. You can't win a fight just throwing punches if they don't land.

When Haye threw he landed, he didn't throw as many but more often than not he landed more clean punches each round than Valuev.
