So by your reasoning no boxer has ever become an undisputed champ in the last 20 years or so as no one has held all the belts at a given weight at the same time. Christ on a pogo stick you'd need to get 15 belts these days to please some people.

The sanctioning bodies themselves agree the 3 belts out of WBA, WBC, WBO and IBF constitutes undisputed champ these days. My own personal belief is that 3 out of the 4 plus being the man, ring title holder, lineal title holder and lineal on the major belt he didnt hold is more than enough to back up the claim.

That and a heavyweight belt is not bad for a chinny poof in 24 fights.

  10. I hate to harp on, but Haye's a ****ing brilliant character, he's just been on Paul O'Grady again.

"I only got in the clinch once & felt all the hairs, I had a sniff, but he smelled alright"

"They're making me a new belt, in human-size"

yeah of course the wbo is a bit of a weak org. but the IBF ranking scandal, the wbc's hustling of fighters and the wba's incompetance and judge bribing. **** it these orgs make it up as they go along.

they shouldnt be recognised at all. but these guys need a belt round there waist to show and tell of there champion status.

the ibo and wbo have just as much reason to be a title as any other it's time that makes the difference

Everyone knows that Joe Louis uttered the immortal and much-used line, 'He can run but he can't hide', but not so many know that Bob Fitzsimmons was the first to say, 'The bigger they are, the harder they fall', another truly immortal line.
Estimates are that Fitzsimmons scored around 200 knockouts as a pro. That might not be an exaggeration. (Archie Moore's 141 knockouts is the official record for the most knockouts, of course.)
