This is it. Two days before the fight and I am new here but not to boxing. I want to go on record stating that my prediction is that Cotto will Ko Manny around the 9th round. I believe it and I truly expect it to go like that but if I turned to be proven wrong I will be here NOT making ANY excuses on my fighter. I would like to know who also will be willing to go on record making a prediction and sticking to it without making ONE single excuse. Both fighter have said that they are 100%. Both trainers have said that they are at their peak so it is what it is. I do not want to hear; he was cut, he punch low, he was dirty, they rob him...none of that. Cotto wins, hopefully by KO and that is that. You think you got it right and will be here with not excuses? I want to hear from you. Lets go Cotto!

Depends. If Cotto wins similar to how Mayweather beat JMM, you won't hear a single excuse from me. But if Cotto wins like Margarito won against him, or in other words, eating all of the smaller man's shots, and pounding him until he wilts...well, I'll give Cotto props, but the excuse will be that he was simply bigger, stronger, and more used to fighting at the advanced weight.

As far as predictions...well, my heart says Pacquiao, but my head says Cotto, ONLY because he is more used to fighting at the weight. He won't outbox Pac. If Pac wins, it'll be by a close UD, or cuts, and if Cotto wins, it will most likely be via late stoppage due to accumulation of punches. Cotto won't win a close decision.

This is BS my man... In order for you to make this excuse on PAC's behalf PAC would've have to turn down the fight. period. PAC willingly accepted the fight against Cotto because he thought he could've win. If he losses he losses because Cotto was the better man, not because he was smaller. Like the original post says... Both camps say that both fighters are 100% so no excuses... I will be here on the 15th and I won't be making excuses if Cotto losses. My prediction is that Cotto will win via stoppage or decision, but he wins... clearly.

Pac is going to make Cotto quit in the later rounds just like he did to the Golden Boy.

See this is exactly the problem, no offense man but stop making excuses man. If Paquiaos camp thinks that Cotto is just to big for him then do not take the fight!!!! This is exactly what I do not want to hear. This is not FMW vs Marquez...this is Cotto vs Manny. It is a fight, for championship, pride, glory. Lets stop the excuses.

In all honesty, this is the only way that PAC gets a TKO in this fight...

I'm not making excuses...just stating fact. First of all, Cotto was more or less shoved down Pacquiao's throat by Bob Arum. It's not like Pac and Roach said, "oh we want Cotto!" The point I'm trying to make is...if Pacquiao is beating Cotto to the punch all night, but Cotto keeps applying pressure, and eventually causes Pac to wilt, it will be because of the size difference, not because Cotto is the better fighter.

I see Pac blowing out Cotto in 2 rounds, 3 tops. I have respect for Cotto, but I just feel he's there to be hit and telegraphs his punches just enough for someone of Pac's speed to exploit. I think too much is made of size, especially when both fighters have power and have shown to be tough customers. Speed is a more important element than size in a fight anyways. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it without excuses.

Oh, no offense taken. And I'm not making excuses. What I am saying is if Cotto wins in a walk-through-his-punches-until-he-wilts fashion, how can you possibly say that it wasn't size that allowed him to accomplish that? You think a guy smaller, or equal in size to Pac could do that?

people are gonna make excuses regardless, both fighters can come in perfect shape, no injuries, nothing. 100% healthy, but as soon as their favorite fighter loses= "he was robbed", "he was weight drained", pre-occuring injury no one ever knew about, "he had a psychological meltdown", "he was on his period" etc etc. there will always be those group of people no matter what happens.
