Tyson-Lewis was huge but Tyson wasn't close to being ready for the fight and it was clear to me that he would lose...

Roy Jones fighting Ruiz was something special because it hadn't been done in so long...(the move up in weight)

Hopkins vs Trinidad was a big fight too but can't put it all the way up there...

Could Pacquiao-Cotto be the one ?

So which fight is #1 to you this decade ?

pacquiao cotto can be one only for the fact that if pac wins he fights mayweather....hopefully....and pac mayweather is the hype job of the decade

I may be a little biased but Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales I. Not only was the fight fought out against two all-time great Mexican fighters in their respective primes, but the fight exceeded expectations and won Fight of the Year and Round of the Year honors. Not very often do two prime all-time greats fight it out, let alone for it to be an absolute barn burner, and arguably the greatest fight that has ever commenced. The significance? It'll forever be a staple in Mexican Boxing history, and defining moments for both guys. Gives me tingles just thinking about the fight to be honest.

Hopkins/Trinidad for me. 2 weeks after 9/11. The 2 finalist of the Middleweight championship series for all the belts. Undefeated Trinidad at his peak. Hopkins was trying to show casuals what he was all about. The flag throwing incident with Hopkins running for his life out the arena. This fight had it all for me. Keep in mind I was in high school at the time in the West Coast. This fight was getting big time publicity out here for 2 fighters from the other coast. I remember my house packed that night we were all Trinidad supporters. And, it was a shocking result. But it was an amazing performance by Hopkins.

Tyson - Holyfield for me because most people thought Tyson was unbeatable and the ear biting incident caused a big stir and still unforgotten. Oh wait, was that over a decade ago? It might be close, I forgot the date, I'll look it up.

Mayweather - Pac/Cotto could be the most meaningful fight but the decade ends in 1 1/2 months.
