well i think its pretty damn close... not every fighter is a weight jumper, it matters just as much to put your own weightclass on lock down when its filled with the type of fighters that 147 is then bouncing around weightclasses that have 5lbs in between them.... Cotto is a 147lber, i dont expect him to fight at 154 or 160. Doesnt mean it should be held against him when hes beating the likes of mosley, pac, clottey, quintana, ect.

Miguel is only 29, of course JMM should be ahead of him at this point... thered be something wrong if he wasnt. I do believe when its all said and done though that Cotto will be ranked higher.

imo, Juan Manuel Marquez is greater, and it isn't even close, but Cotto has many years left, so he could surpass him.

when it comes to skills, Juan Manuel Marquez takes it.

Marquez and its not close to be honest....

Marquez is a 3 division #1 claim champ

HE unified feather and was seen as the best in his division
He beat barrera who unified super feather, and thus became the number 1
He unified lightweight by beating the lineal champ and a young lion(who was former undisputed)

So, marquez is a legitimate 3 weight champ

Cotto on the other hand, has never even beaten a champ and tooken his belt. Cotto has also never been number 1 in his division. He has only picked up vacant titles.....

Cotto has claim on titles, but he dosent have claim to actually be the weight divisions champ.... Im not saying he hasnt beaten good fighters, he has a pretty good resume.....

But lets be real, marquez is atg 3 time legitmate champ, cotto is very good, but hes not on marquez level :good

Can's decide.. both have great resumes but I think as Cotto makes more fight, he may be far better than marquez.
