According to the contracts filed with the NSAC, Pacquiao’s Guaranteed purse will be $7.5 million while Cotto’s Guaranteed purse would be $4 million.

Congratulations to Pacquiao the cash cow,his hard work is paying off. He's making $7.5m guaranteed in the biggest fight of his career,Mayweather makes $15m in a tune up fighting Marquez. That $15m didnt include the PPV,it was just a guaranteed minimum the way Pacquiao is making $7.5m.Adding PPVs,Mayweather made tones load more.According to Pacquiao he deserves the bigger chunk should he fight Mayweather.(I hope he can do additions and subtractions)

As for Cotto that's his biggest purse just like Marquez made in the Mayweather fight.Good work.

That's the purse for the fight itself, it doesn't take account of the PPV revenue split and HBO's buy fee for the fight in the first place.

Pac's getting something like $20m by some accounts.

Ah the fanboy agents/accountants are at it again! Thanks guys for keeping track of this stuff, otherwise it would be tough for boxing fans to keep track of how much every boxer makes and what contracts they sign. :thumbsup

Now go back to Mayweather and Pacquiao and let them know what you've found. That way IF Pacquiao wins we can all get PBF vs MP next year. :bbb

Honestly, Pacquiao deserves more money than Mayweather: more exciting, takes the bigger risks, isn't fraud.

That's just the guarantee btw, Pac will end up clearing over 20 mil and Cotto over 10 mil.

Hmm... I don't think that was the case, actually. Here's a context quote from the Las Vegas Sun:

    This content is protected

From an AP bulletin, on ESPN's site:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4495350

Basically, you're fabricating numbers. It's no doubt that, in mainstream USA, Floyd is better known and that translates to bigger numbers. But the purses aren't too far off, especially for a foreign fighter with no natural constituency in the US, fighting another foreign fighter with no natural constituency in the US.

You must be a ****ing dreadful trend analyst if you can't even source or quote accurate figures, fanboy.

Are you a PBF fanboy trying to pull fake facts out of your ass ???

Seems like youre taking an under handed swipe. No way Mayweather is twice the money draw as Pacquiao.

Nice fake azz propaganda. A Pac-Mayweather showdown needs to be a 50-50 split if i've ever seen one.

The quote you made from the Las Vegas paper was the fabrication,Mayweather got $15m according to the NSAC.

Whichever way you look at it,even if say Mayweather had recieved $10m,that's 25% more than Pacquiao got and if you include the PPVs then Mayweather is even worth tonnes more having done 1m PPVs.
Pacquiao's country of origin,Pacquiao knows that and if a domicile carries with it goodwill then Pacquiao should not be asking for a bigger purse because less people buy fights from where he comes from.He is not worth more than Mayweather in the eyes of the consumers. He might claim to be exciting but the consumers who buy dont agree. If they did agree then they would be willing to buy more ppvs.Numbers dont lie,Pacquiao shouldnt try to reap where he did not sow.If the fight doesnt go ahead based on Pacquiao demanding more then you all know Pacquiao priced himself out of the fight

So the AP figure was wrong too? The AP, who lead the way in accurate reportage?

Can you provide me the link to where NSAC confirm Floyd got a guarantee of $15m for the Marquez fight, exclusing PPV and HBO's buy fee?

If so, I'll happily concede the point.
