Cotto-Margo just rewatched it

It's beyond tainted. I'm glad I didn't pay the money to watch that travesty.

 

I remember being so up for this fight and when Cotto lost I was absolutely gutted. Even to this day I only watch the fight up until round 7-8. Obviously now though it is tainted because of that cheating ****.

 

Amazing fight while it lasted. Skill versus will!

 

It was more like skill versus plaster which slowly hardened as it became wet and was then used to bludgeon Cotto.

Margo is a cheat and should have been banned for life and prosecuted as a criminal for his part. Cotto boxed his ears off before the 'bricks' in his gloves began to take a cumulative and what could have been a deadly toll.

 

Was it an epic, dramatic fight while it lasted? Yes. Did Margarito, cheating or not, have to eat a shitload of leather to get to Cotto? Yes. Skill, versus will. Simple.

Cotto's my favourite fighter and, even in losing, he showed much more bravery and talent that almost any other elite fighter in the game today.

 

Margarito got extra 'will' from knowing that his gloves were hardening. Sick cheat.

Yeah it was a Great fight, shame it was tarnished with the subsequent hand-wrapping incident.

I seem to remember Miguel getting his nose broke against AM which affected his breathing, I think this had a BIG influence on the result

 

Funny. I thought I was the only one who does that. I actually turn it off after round six. I knew my boy was in trouble because at the end off round 4 look how hard he's breathing and marg was not breathing hard at all. Loaded gloves are not marg will always be a rough fight for cotto because of styles.

 

I hear that margo will be in attendance at the weekends fight.

 

i watched the fight! was it proven that margo was really on plaster during the fight?

 

I also only watch til the 6th round...after that its jus sad.
It was very hard to watch ones idol get beaten like that...specially when u know that he was gettin beaten by a cheat.

 

i really wish people stop using the loaded gloves excuse.....cottto was boxing his ears off....and should have continued to outbox him instead of trying to knock him out....but no....he wanted to get cute and got caught......
if you rewatched the fight....its obvious that margo could hardly hit cotto in the beginning......as slow as margo is and his lack of defense...cotto had no reason to quick.....when are you guys gonna put the blame on cottos poor conditioning for slowing down and getting caught by this slowass damn near immobile mummy margo.
shane didnt tire because shane had good conditioning and used margos weak defense against him....and tee'd off on him....like a true champion and i dont even like shane..

but place some blame on cotto ...please
