    He's on some knockouts dvd I've got with fights from early 90s on it

    Sure his name is Georgie something, wore St George cross shorts and at one point had his blond hair in cornrolls

    Its bugging the hell out of me:twisted:

    I was about to tell you :yep

    He looked like a talent on that DVD, yet he never reached the top domestically and he is/was in prison for killing an OAP :-(

    He's in prison really?? yeah he looked the business in the few clips I saw of him, wondered why he stopped fighting at 28

    George 'Georgie' Smith I think. Seem to remember he won a big big fight to grab the IBO Inercontintal Welterweight title when that really was a step away from a big title shot, like Matthew Hatton lol

    He was given a fairly big TV build up to go "all the way" and was matched carefully but never looked physically strong enough to me.

    He didn't seem to fancy the sport when it became obvious that he was British title standard at best.

    Damn... Boxers fall hard don't they.... Anyone know what Pat Mullings is up to these days... overheard something at a boxing show that got me thinking he may be in a similer prediciment
