Will Cotto go southpaw? Will Pac come out fast? Has Cotto's cut healed?

Nice comments. I agree with the midround knockout scenario. I think the speed will be Pacman's advantage, and the lack of a right hand by Cotto does make it easier for Pac to look more for the jabs and left hooks, and to not have his back to the ropes. His speed will be the key. Pacman by midround stoppage on cuts.

Wow, you found the common denominator with Pac's last two or 3 opponents. Good left hooks but no right hands. So with Pac's speed he is really in simple fights to avoid the left hook. Never thought about it. The only thing he has to worry about like another poster said was being on against the ropes. Great post Nallege!!!

 

Exactly. What I worry about in this fight tonight is Cotto getting cut badly in the first or second round- possibly the Clottey cut reopening, and the ref stopping it.

 

What can you do about that? If Cotto is cut you cannot expect the referree to let the fight go and Cotto is at a disadvantage?

 

Well it would be ashame. That cut aspect is a risk after all the cuts Cotto has had. I will say this. If Cotto somehow does not get a cut, that means he won the fight I think, although if Pacman knocks him out in the first round, then I would betotally wrong as I have in the pat, but regardless of that. Cotto is probably going to get a cut early enough. I hope it does not affect his ability to win this fight. It has not in the past except for the Margarito fight.
