Did anyone think Cotto was doing a good counter punching job early?

I did, had him winning the first, he was timing and measuring Pac really well, shades of Marquez and thought he was winning the second until the KD, I was also worried about his bodyshots damaging Pac. Then in rounds 3-4 he was doing well until he kept bulling forwards too much and let Pacquaio dictate the range of the fight

I predicted a Pac late Ko but after the first I was worried Cotto might have his number

i predicted a pac ko 4 and was impressed by cotto early. i was rooting for him the whole way and was optimistic after the first few rounds. up until the big punch in the fourth i thought he was gonna start to impose his size and use his countering skills to better pac. i was right in my initial pick haha

As soon as Pac realised he could cope with Cotos power that was it.

Cotto did well when the action was slow but everytime Pac opened up with his combinations Miguel couldnt do nothing about them.

I thought Cotto started well, it was when he started trying to stand and trade with Pac he got caught...Pac was just too fast for him.

You mean he had no defense:rofl

    You need defense:deal

Pac needs to stop jumping in when he throws punches. A better boxer will exploit that everytime.:hey

Probably a bit of both. Cotto didn't look hurt after the first knockdown but he really got caught the second time....i was also suprised how well Pac took Cotto's punches

I was with Cotto for the fight. Cotto was doing great with his gameplan until he started trading shots with Pacman. That's when Cotto's bad habits crept in. Trading shots with Pacquiao is not a good idea.

Based on the fact cotto had track shoes on from the 6th onwards and his face looked like pepperoni pizza, yeah I'd say Pac is that powerful.

Cotto was doing well early because it took a little while for Pacquiao's punches to really start doing some damage on the bigger man. (2 rounds) Those counterpuncher he was taking, he was basically letting Pacquiao hit him with 1 or 2 shots so that he could catch him coming in. You're right though, he was doing well and I gave him the 1st round

Ya i thought Cotto was doing a great counter punching job early and even later on he was slipping alot of Pacs punches. Which makes me wonder what Mayweathers counter punching will do to pac

He definately caught Manny with a few great counter looping-left-hooks at times.
