he taken 2 huge beatings i think his career is over after this, i really liked cotto was 1 of my favourite fighters i feel sad that his career may end this way. i guess in the end he has his friends and family and also the millions he made from his proud boxing career

He'lll never reach the level he was. He looked a broken man last night. I felt sorry for him. If he continues, he needs to find a top trainer as his current setup is not working.

It all boils down to that beating he took from Margacheato. If his gloves were indeed loaded that night then he took away Cotto's punch resistance and confidence.

Well it is a distinct possibility, but with Margo coming back I doubt people are gonna be lining up to face a cheat, so he gets a stab at a rematch, if he wins, then he could rebuild his career.

No. Only two losses, still young. He'll bounce back and be a significant force at WW for a few more years yet. He's just not on the same level as Pac/FMJ....but few fighters are.

A better trainer and he'll be competititve at the top top level, if he contiues with the bums he's had in his corner then his weakness will be exposed time and time again.

All he did was plod foward for a lot of the fight.

For some reason, Cotto just doesnt have the staminai, the guy just fades badly, gasping for breath early in the fight, looking weak really quickly, flat footed, no snap in his puches, that Margo fight may have taken more out of him than we thought, but Cotto's not a smart boxer.

Gets trapped on the ropes way too easily and when on the ropes has minimal head movement, who is trining this guy?

I'm not sure he needs a Margaito rematch, he'll lose

No it isnt. Plenty of great fighters have losses on their record.

Granted, it's been two heart breaking losses rather than a 1 shot KO or tight points loss but he can still come back from this, and he says he plans to.

Maybe he can rematch Mosley-Berto winner or grab a belt at 154lbs, but being stopped twice in 18months could mean hes a ruined fighter

no, losing to a cheat and an ATG does not mean his career is over...
set up a clash with Margo, the fight would be HUGE

Cotto has to rematch Margarito, get in the ring with Berto, try out a rematch with Mosley...

This was Cotto's chacne, I mean if this fight was even, Cotto wouldn't be looked down so hard right now, but this fight wasn't even close.

The first round was confusing, Cotto dominated...but Pacman is a freak who's punching angles are similar to Prince Naseem along with SPEED which equals POWER...

I'm a personal trainer and train people in boxing, the gastrocnemius are so vital to torque and power punching, thats where the kinetic energy is generated from the ankle joint up to the leg then to the hip joint up the spring into the rotator cuff then to the 2nd of the fist.

Pac is just that good, better than even *******s imagined.

He still has a career but ever since Margo I think his game has took a drop. However he is a really good fighter and no reason why he could not get a belt again. Hell Hylatswayo has the IBF and Delvin Rodriguez is #1 he would murder both of them. However I think the idea of fighting Margo would be suicide. I think Margo beats him 9 out of 10 wraps or not but this would be even more foolish because the beating he just took. For Cotto to go from Pac beating to Margo he could really get derailed. He may become the next Taylor. Lotta heart and ability but fights too many tough guys loses and never takes a tune up stays in big fights and has a cut short career
