watching the fight last night i saw that cotto was already tired going into the fifth round....like i said in my post...this fight was taylor made for pac as cotto does not have the tenacity he used to have and once he gets hit now its like he does not know what to do anymore....he fought very sloppy and his punches had no power in it....kudos to pac for the victory but this cotto is not the cotto that everyone had come to love...he is a shell of his former self and hope that he can retire and stick to his miguel cotto productions:thumbsup

Cotto was competitive at times with Pacquiao early on much the same way Taylor was with Abraham. But Pacquiao is an all time great. Abraham isnt even a modern great. And before that Taylor got knocked the hell out by Froch, just like against Abraham. Cotto only got worn down. I think Cotto can come back, but he wont go higher than being a very good modern fighter, so it may not be worth it.

I think he could become a Jermain Taylor if he keeps taking beatings in big fights. He needs a tune up easy kind of fight now or he may get his career cut short. He is a very good fighter who can continue to succeed but if he takes beatings like he did vs Margo Clottey and Pac more often dont count on seeing him around for much longer

He was tired in the fifth alright -- he was still half ****ing dazed from that brutal uppercut in the fourth.

They are both formerly-overhyped HBO golden boys.

They both need to gain their confidence and I think Cotto has more in the tank then taylor. (Maybe just a little more)
