Im a massive Mayweather Fan, he my type of fighter as was RJJ.

Everyone says he has the style to give Pacman the most problems.

I disagree... Everone says Mayweather is a better Counter pucnher than Marquez,....I agree he is faster...but FLOYD has to fight out of his ELEMENT to beat PACMAN...

to COunter effectively against PACMAN you need to throw when he throws, FLOYD doesnt do that , he curls up behind that shoulder then explodes, the thing is PACMAN doesnt tire.

MAyweathe rwaits for you to expend energy before he throws...I just dont see how he can effectively counter PACMAN. Hes never thrown punches when the other guy is on the offensive, PAcman must throw the most Feints I have ever seen a guy throw, I think hes a nightmare for FLoyd.

Only guys I see beating PAC are Paul Williams (SIZE) and Shane Mosley (punchers chance) Mosley is hard as nails and has an awsome left hook, he is also not afraid to fight unlike floyd...hell throw when manny throws

    1) Counter Punching aint the only way to win a fight, or beat Pac
    - Cotto showed glimpses when he caught Pac with a few shots
    - Cotto running away on his bicycle

    2) Mayweather waits for his opponent to come forward, he goes in and out (see check
hook against Hatton) the way Mayweather counters is based on his defense, you
punch and miss, or hit his gloves and then Mayweather hits back. (see Mayweather
    on the Ropes against DLH)

    3) Mayweather fights on his back foot, most of the time, waiting for the right gap
between him and his opponent for him to lunge forward. Also Mayweather doesnt fight
for a KO victory, his main objective is to win under any circumstances, like he said
after the Baldomir fight. He pot-Shots his way to a UD. I think this is a bigger threat
to Pac since Mayweather wont be lured into brawling.

I think if Floyd fights his fight and counter punches than he can win a UD..if he gets into a slugging match than he could be in for a long night..If Floyd can fight a technical fight than he can win..if he doesn't than he loses his first fight...

If Floyd can't find a way to time Pac he'll be in some deep trouble.

I've never really thought of Mayweather as a counter-puncher so much as I have as a pot-shotter. Marquez is a counter-puncher: he makes you fall short or miss, and then fires back. Mayweather doesn't do that all that much. Most of the time he just beats you to the punch or picks you off on the way in. When you're attacking, he retreats.

I never ever thought I would say this but after watching the Tape of Floyd vs Marquez about 4 times, I can now see a way for Manny to exploit this unpenetrable defense that people seem to think he has.

I wont go into it but if Roach watches that tape and also some previous tape on Floyd it is there.

Like I said I never thought I would say this but I think Pacquiao will win by a split decision and it will be like really close, probably 1 or 2 rounds in it but he will look the busier fighter and alot of arguments will probably break out on here afterwards because of how close the fight will be.

Nobody will be getting knocked out that's for sure. Floyd wont want to open up like that and engage, he seems to reserve his energy if he cant get the job done and I just see Pac out hustling him and being very very smart against Floyd. It will be a chess match for the 1st 4 rounds and it probably wont be an exciting fight but for the boxing purist it will be a great technical chess match.

    Pac to win 115-114 SD

Mayweather's handpicking will come to an end because I think he underestimates Pac and he probably thinks he can just go in there and do what he wants to do in there but the difference is he is going to be getting hit back and hard, there wont be no powder punches going in.

The big question is, what weight will the fight be at and if it was a catchweight and Floyd did not make the weight would they make him make it instead of paying a fine?
