cotto needs a corner,a real head trainer,a real team i said it from the begining!emanuel offered his hand and cotto didnt take the offer.where was his advice last night in the corner, his tactical advice his advise to adjustment...there was none!he also looked like a greyhound.. the cotto i know is solid, thick!he was drained last night...thats why he had no power...look if cotto had a real head trainer and came in at his 147 weight(which means 155 during the fight after the weigh in from blowin up)he would have took manny punches and i bet he would have wore him down eventually to a knockout.lets all be honest here ok!cotto also gave up because he thought he wasnt hurting manny when he was then manny knocked him down twice that further discouraged him but all he had to do was keep his cool and adjust his defense and keep on with the punches eventually manny would have wore down but he had no corner to tell him this no "freddy roach" to firmly guide him with game plan a or b!!manny looked like **** during his interviews and that was with a drained non coached cotto!!let the real cotto come in at 147 and with a real head trainer you can kiss manny goodbye..lets all be real here please!look all you have to do is listen to key words said by freddy roach and manny after the fight!freddy said he was concerned after the first round and manny said the punches hurt but he couldnt show it..etc...like i said a true cotto at 147 and with a real head trainer..goodnight pac man..good night!

Manny Steward isn't the trainer he was 20 years ago. He doesn't give a **** about his fighters other than Wladamir. He is also a senile old man that HBO needs to drop. I am sick of his "this is turning out exactly as I predicted" arrogance. Clearly he is full of himself.

Cotto needs someone like a Nasim Richardson.

look it just needs to be a true head trainer emanuel to me was a good choice but is also a example of what i mean...vegas dude you say that now but believe me thats why freddy roach and paq didnt take the fight at 147 and freddy was going to call the fight if cotto came just a hair over 145.think about it vegas dude!

The one thing I agree with is that Steward would be a good choice for Cotto, even though he'd be a horrible choice for many others. Cotto's better off, imho, as a boxer who can bang, rather than a banger who starts boxing if after a few rounds after the banging no longer works. Manny's movement-over-all-else plus Cotto's natural inclinations could prove a good balance... if Cotto listens to him and switches away from him later on to a Brother Nasim type to get fully rounded.

Its too late for Cotto to change his team IMO- I think he will retire a respected fighter who achieved alot..he should fight max twice more then retire- too many wars.

Of course Cotto hurt him. Pacquiao was hurt multiple times more than likely. Manny said directly to ESPN that it was his job not to show Cotto that he had been hurt. Manny beat Cotto mentally, then he beat him physically. Cotto folded. Pacquiao did not. This fight was over before it happened. Like they say; 90% mental. Indeed.

It was an amazing performance. Pac looked better than I thought he would look. I do miss his three punch combo...so I hope he moves back down to 140.

You are right. Pac knew he was in trouble if he let Cotto stiff jab him all night. So he took a huge dangerous risk by staying on the ropes letting Cotto wail on him. It served 2 purposes: let Cotto abandon his jabbing by fighting on the inside, and 2, let Cotto get overconfident then unleash his combos. Worked like a magic if you ask me.

WHen you get hit, you get hurt, but when you're hurt and able to pretend you're not hurt, that means you can take a punch. And Manny can take a punch.

Pacquiao was able to handle the power that Cotto was able to dish out early on.

manny actually looks reasonably busted up there... during the fight it didn't look like he had taken a punch really.

Yes he did, Pac took it and came back. Many people thought as soon as Cotto connects Pac would either be on the canvas, wobbly or KO'd.
