Hatton has already hinted that he will come back next year. The Cotto defeat has boosted his status.

I believe he will be back at 147. Someone like Zab Judah would be an ideal come back opponent.

The I would like a big Summer fight at the City of Manchester Stadium v Witter, and towards the end of next year at Madison Square Garden v Cotto.

Hatton is done. Even Cotto would still demolish him now at 147.

    Cotto would absolutely smash him.

Judah ideal? I know he is only a 4 round fighter now, but he has speed and power - he could take Hatton out within 4 rounds IMO if Hatton's punch resistance has gone like people suggest.

:lol: What an absolute load of tripe. Hatton seems to be the only fighter in boxing who benefits from this absurd maths. Hattons never fought Cotto. Pac smashes Cotto. But miraculously Hatton gets some form of kudos because Pac wiped him out in 2 rounds and took 12 to do so with Cotto?

So the quality of Hattons competition goes up and somehow his punch resistance wanes? Rather odd that..

Judah will tear Hatton a new one. Hatton has always been easy to hit, will continue to be easy to hit and vs a speedy southpaw like Judah who can crack that spells disaster for Ricky.

Hatton???? Give as all af ****ing break.
Cotto would destroy Hatton. Didnt you see what Pac did to Hatton? Cotto gave a much better account

The amount of times Hatton has been punched in the face, it is highly feasible that his punch resistance has declined, I mean its not gonna improve it is it?

Hatton made a career of fighting B and C class fighters in his earlier fights. Some of those B and C fighters had him on ***** street like Phillips Magee and Tackie. Hatton has ALWAYS been easy to hit. I dont see "how" you can reevaluate his punch resistance when the quality of his competition has got much better and he's STILL easy to hit.

How the hell do you work out that improved Hatton's status?

If anything it worsened it, Cotto took a lot of punishment.

Personally, I think Hatton's true colours have surfaced since his two humblings; he always tries to claim some upper hand by saying something against his victor's win and it's got slightly annoying and smacks of sour grapes. 'I pick Cotto because I was hurting Manny' and 'I'd like a rematch without Cortez'. It's a shame as I do genuinely like the guy, but it's like he refuses to give credit where it's due.

Any talk of Cotto is ridiculous even after yesterday. That said, if the Hatton intends on returning to the ring at 147 and wants a payday in England, Hlatshwayo now has a belt and he isn't a big puncher either. I remember this fight being talked up prior to Lazcano being picked for the first post-PBF fight so it's not completely off the cards or beyond the realms of possibility either. Hatton's ego wouldn't allow him to return against someone without a belt or big reputation, IMO. Judah, although shot to ****, is not a fight he should take, though. Who the **** knows what will happen in Hatton's world next?:think

Cotto and Witter would KO Hatton IMO.

I'll cut my left bollock off with a spoon if Hatton fights Junior Witter...... there's more chance of Barnet winning the FA cup than that happening

    You're talking rubbish mate :deal

Hatton was beating Pacquaio by a "country mile" until he got KO'd...(yes, he actually said this on Friday :-()

In all seriousness, Cotto will probably retire but if he did fight Hatton at 147 he wins by huge points.

Hattons a bit ****ed really, he has no chance at 147

I think if he wants to carry on he'll likely fight some no mark alphabet title holder or 2 at 147 and then Khan. Makes the most financial sense and would be less risky than any other fights.
