We all know Floyd has some of the best skills ever seen in the ring, but they remain woefully untested. He beats fighters he's expected to beat comfortably and has not once challenged himself above 135lbs, so there's BIG question marks around how good he really is. ... So the question is as above really, does Floyd deserve a shot at the best boxer of this generation? Has he really done enough to earn it?
No but he'll get it because it makes so much money. He should be the one fighting Sugar Shane in January.
He deserves to fight Manny despite all the trouble he's gone through to ruin his legacy over the last few years but, imho, personally I don't think he deserves the pay-day.
I dont hate Mayweather, I dislike him as a person due to his poor attitude towards the sport and his ignorant hangers on make it even harder to like him. I do however respect the fact he's one of the most skilled fighters of my time, so I do get disheartened when someone with that level of talent brushes off challenges and seeks the path of least resitance. I think it's a valid question though, who has he beat at WW recently to deserve a shot at the P4P number 1 fighter? Everyone else seems to have to earn their shots at Mayweather, so as Pac is number 1 surely the same applies
lemme think, he's the most skilled fighter around, He beat a far better version of Hoya at 154, then beat Hatton before Manny did. for me Manny has been working his way towards a fight with Mayweather. Now with Manny beating Cotto, I cant see a better fight out there for either guys.
