Why wouldn't Cotto fight Pac because Margarito's gloves might have been loaded? And also, Cotto didn't give his all, I don't think he was trying to win for the last three rounds.
I sure you get the jist of what i'm saying. I'm sure we are all guilty of a few typos now and then but correct me if im wrong but we are here to get grammar lessons. There is always one.
Sometimes giving your 'all' means to survive. He was advised to stop the fight but he said he wanted go on. Now that's a true warrior.
Cotto is pure class and a loss to Pacman is no biggie.Cotto fights the very best and must be considered in the elite group of welters.:thumbsup
True boxing fans will never dis a fighter like Cotto. The armchair critics will but who cares they are some wannabees that never put the gloves to see how hard is to respond to adversity. After taking all that beating Cotto deserved to go the final bell. I hope he can recuperate find a new trainer and have a couple of good matches before retiring.
When cotto backs up and moves, in the Pac and Clottey fights, he is a "brave warrior". But the same people then ***** about Mayweather doing the same thing and call him a coward.
Exactly. Mayweather using movement to create space and help him win is cowardly. Cotto straight running when he's well behind on the cards to avoid getting knocked out makes him a warrior.:rofl It's ridiculous. If Cotto was a warrior in that fight, then every fighter should be labeled as a warrior.
Cotto deserves a lot of respect and credit. Great fighter indeed. I'm sure he gave quite a bit of scare to a lot of pac fans/believer including myself on the first round. He was looking sturdy and mean, damn!
I predicted Cotto was going to defeat Pacquiao before the fight. I saw the fight as a repeat of Cotto versus Margarito but Cotto playing the role of Margarito. I was wrong. That being said. Cotto is a CLASS act. A man's man; and he's a great fighter. He just lost to a better, more skilled boxer. End of story. That being said, Cotto is not a pushover. He's has defeated quality WW fighters. The problem I see with Cotto is that he lacks a great trainer; and I think part of the reason why he lost the way he did is b/c he didn't have what Manny has: a great experienced trainer in his corner. Cotto needs time off. He came back too soon after Margarito; and has taken on very difficult fights -- which shows he is a man that doesn't run from anyone...balls of steel. I'm a fan of Cotto because of that. Cotto should take a year off from boxing and when he returns, he needs to hire a trainer to correct his bad habits. Cotto can be the fighter he was once b/c he has that determination and he's still young. But he needs a trainer. Santiago is not the answer for Cotto.
