No reason to doubt Roach unless youre a moron.

    He just turned 30.

Ive never seen him stronger and sturdier as the other night. JMM hurt him with a reaching body shot 2 years ago.

I also noticed that PAC can explode even in the 12th round. Different than the JMM 2 fight

He is about 20% slower than usual due to the addition of lean muscle mass. But this will get better when hes fully acclimated. But his punching power has improved no question.

    But heres my observations,

PAC needs to get better at cutting the ring off, this can improve he has great footwork.

He still leaves himself open for some counters (which I guess is forgivable given his all out attack) He needs to tighten up his d up the middle.

He needs to throw that right jab with more intent.

Conclusion, PAC on the other side of the hill is pure speculation, but fact is and my eyes can attest is hes still improving.

    this is mostly pacman corner

    - "umiikot lang sya ng isang direksyon, pag nakita mo cut ka, pag nakita mo cut ka" - hes running in one direction, cut that direction
    - "in and out ka......in and out ka"
    in and out
    - "wag mong sabayan ang laro nya, hayaan mong sabayan nya ang laro mo."
dont play his game, let him play your game

    this is cottos corner
    - "uno mas...uno mas?" - one more....one more.....
    - "youre smarter than him lets do it"

i think its the matter of constructive instruction.

He's peaked already. Physically that is, but skillwise he's still learning. But at this stage, i think he's almost maxed out. Mind is willing but the body may not be the same. He's recently learned what he should've have learnt earlier if Roach got a hold of him earlier. He would've accomplished more. He's about to end a magnificent career and we're lucky to have experienced watching him.

How can a man peak physically when he is still getting stronger and sturdier? Explain this?

How can PAC who gassed against JMM in the 12th was still as explosive against Cotto.

roach knows more about pac than anyone. I think he can still get better. what's amazing about the fight was his power. knocking down cotto with the right hand then the left hand. amazing!!

I'm with you chimba, I see him getting better and better. But he's about to run into the Alexander problem, because win or lose to Floyd, there's nothing really left out there worth conquering. 154 seems like a bridge too far, and outside of Shane, there won't be anybody worth fighting at 147. Best case scenario would be if he beat Floyd and it was controversial, because I bet Manny would give a rematch. There's no way Floyd grants a rematch if he wins.

This is true, and he has other interests. He has Floyd and Im not sure he'll ever get Mosley. I can see a finale with JMM though, theres just unfinished business.

I mentioned this topic because Roach keeps battering us with this fact for 3 years now and we brush it off as some kind of embellishment.

But watching 24/7 Ariza is really helpful in making PAC perform at optimum levels. As PAc was saying, he wasnt drinking protein shakes and doing all this HITT even a couple of years ago. This can only help and then take into consideration that he just turned 30.

Now there are 28 year olds out there whose past prime but there are 30 year olds who are still getting into their primes (BHOP, Winky)

There's only one thing Pac has worse now, and that's his stamina. He takes more breaks during rounds than he used to.

That is true but at the same time he can still explode when needed in the 12th with the same speed and power. Its the weight I think, hes just heavier.

But as long as he paces himself, hed be fine. Mind you he was forced to take a break during rounds 10 and 11, Cotto was just running.

But even if he started the rounds slow, he was still throwing nonstop for the last 1 1/2 minutes of every round.
