If by awesome you mean getting your ass kicked and running for 3 straight rounds against a guy that you're bigger and stronger than.

Cotto tucked tail and ran. That's a fact. He's no warrior. JMM is a warrior, he doesn't run from Pac, at no time. If PAC fought him now, JMM still would never run.

I see why a Cotto fan would feel let down. Cotto was facing a smaller man, and after surviving against the likes of Judah, Mosley, and Clottey, there was no reason he should have gotten his ass beaten as badly as he did in this fight, but he did...because Manny Pacquiao is THE MUTHAFUKIN' MAN!

No he gve it his all. He just got beat by the much better man. Cotto needs Emanuel Steward as his trainer. Santiago is not the man for the job. some of the posters here could have given Cotto better corner advice than Santiago gave.

no, cotto did everything he could for this fight. he started camp a lot earlier than pac, moved camp to florida so he focus. arrived in vegas earlier than usual. he left no stones unturned and gave himself the best chance to win. he gave a good account of himself, but just ran into a bad mother****er. he tried his best before and during the fight, and would have finished the fight if you let him.

Not let down, just a bit dismayed. He had all the tools and the skills to make that an incredibly close fight. By opening up, he forced Pac to throw and Pac, being fast, accurate and explosive, basically finished him with that punch in the fourth.

Cotto was desperate to stop him, but against a guy like Manny, you have to show your versatility, and give him things he doesn’t expect. Standing and trading with him is just ******ed.

Exactly. So how does the corner not realize this and change gameplan after they find that Pac is not affected by Cotto power? Total let down by the corner. This could have been a much more competative fight had Cotto been coached better for it and given direction on how to adjust when plan A had no chance in hell of working.
