Are you honestly telling me that a 145 Floyd won't be too big for Manny, but a 147 version might be? Whether the fight is at 145 or 147, isn't going to make a difference to their physical size come fight night, the only difference is that Floyd will have to work harder to cut the extra weight - an obvious disadvantage.

Secondly, you say both get full credit for winning if the fight goes ahead at 145. Again, wrong. PBF is going to get a load of stick for fighting a smaller man/ fighting negatively/ running etc, no matter what the weight and result are. Meanwhile, if Pac wins, he leaves himself open to the very same accusations he faced when he beat Oscar and Cotto - that his opponent was weight drained. If he wins at 147 however, those arguments are completely redundant.

yeah floyd can weigh-in at 146 or 147 if he wants to, for a price.

Pacquaio owns a belt at Welterweight so he should fight at the Welterweight weight ?

I thought Mayweather is a small WW, i think i heard it somewhere. Did not he climb up the "divisional ladder" to beat the gargantuan 147ers? If that's the case, 145 would be easy as shittin.

However, hope the fight gets made at 147 so we won't see no BS excuses again. 147 50/50

Man let's be honest, I want Pac to take a tune-up first, how many big fights after another?, even the Diaz fight was at a new weight. One eas stay active fight and a good break then let's discuss this. Can't believe this beast of a guy, all this pressure on him and he's still walking with a big smile and sings to a crowd 100% relaxed like he's the one with all the advantage when in reality all his recent opponents were bigger than him.

floyd would still be bigger come fight night but at least we don't have a big disparity of weighs on the weigh-in. 145 is just 1 pound below floyd's last weigh-in so i doubt it will be hard for floyd to make it.

i did not say both will get full credit but i say both will have the just credit. of course at 147, pac would get the full credit if he beats the naturally bigger floyd. but how about floyd beating pac at 147? 145 is just a fair weight for both.

C'mon Scar, now you want him to fight a tuneup? Not even Roach is advocating that. Diaz, Hatto, and Hoya were glorified tuneups. None of them offered much resistance. Tuneups are only neccesary to knockoff rust or to regain condifence after a loss.

BTW, Pac is 30 years old now. He's been fighting the best since 1999, a whole 10 years. He is getting close to shotness just like MAB and EM was when they were 29. I intentionally omitted ODLH coz I really think he was shot even before the Mayweather fight.

Man that's complete bull****. Hopkins went all the way down to 156 to fight Hoya and still got no love for that win. The bigger man never gets proper credit for beating a smaller guy(even though these two are about the same size). This a moot point anyway. No way in hell will Floyd agree to a catchweight. Even the media, who loves Pac and despises Floyd, won't get behind a demand for a catchweight.

Surely you want to see 100% versions of both fighter in the ring trying to prove who the best in the world is, P4P, with no excuses for either. If you have the fight at 145, you have a ready made excuse before the first bell has even sounded.

Pac was willing to fight Oscar at 147 because he knew he couldn't get any lower. Inisisting that this takes place at 145 smacks of Manny's team trying to gain an advantage by forcing his opponent down to as low a weight as possible. It's not like Floyd and his fighting style benefit from extra weight, however they may well suffer from having to make that extra effort to cut.

Road block is an understatement. Floyd will say 147lbs or no fight, you just watch! I have already said Roach won't have it all his own way in terms of demands or negotiations. Floyd won't budge, Welter limit or no fight!

This catch-weight bollocks is getting on my nerves!
