Manny is already fighting five pounds HEAVIER than he ought to be at 145, why can't mayweather fight two pounds lighter? He still has the advantage. Would you jackoffs rather Manny just stay in the class he belongs (140) and fight Bradley?

The fight should be at 147. Both are welter champions and Pac already proved he can fight against real welters.

How do you figure he belongs at 140. I'd say he's acquitted himself pretty well at welter.

Floyd came into his fight at 146, so really what's one pound, and for you guys that think Mayweather has any bargaining power is deluded. Mayweather doesn't have anything worth a sh!t lined up, come in at 145, take your 45 split and hope Pac doesn't knock you out.

Huh, 145 was too tough for him? It sure didn't appear that way to me.

He probably knew he couldn't get any higher. He ate 5 times a day and still weighed 142 at the weigh in.

Go ahead, I'd like to see him fight Tim Bradley. He can than take much less money and deal with getting headbutted all night by Bradley. I'm sure Pac will love that. This is a dumb argument. Pac said himself to Brian Kenney after the fight that he can fight at 147 or below.

What are Pac's options? He can take $30+ mill against Floyd, or he can take much less to fight the bigger, stronger Mosley, or he can go back to 140 and take even less to fight headbutting Tim Bradley or past it JMM who has lost a lot of luster after getting undressed against Mayweather. You're crazy if you don't think Floyd has any bargaining power.

the fight was more of an exhibition fight just like pac-delahoya. too much weight difference. this fight is different. yes pac is a welter champ by virtue of beating cotto at a 145 catchweight. but pac's present size is more so of a light-welter to a low welter just like zab (142-144ish). floyd's body after 2 years has matured to welter (around 146) in his last. virtually, they are only separated now by 2, 3 or 4 pounds most. for this fight they would surely get credit if either wins, even floyd, most especially if the fight was made at the middle ground. 147 is fine, 143 is also fine (if floyd can make it) but 145 is just the right weight for the fight where floyd would not be drained and pac would not be bloated.

He would fight strongest at 140, weighing 148 or so on fight night, his opponents would not be bigger than him. At 147 he'll gain just two pounds to 149 on fight night while Floyd weighs at least 155. Guys like Cotto/Margo/Shane weigh 160 on fight night.

The fact that he's "acquitted himself at welter" is a testament to his greatness. Who else can fight WW fights weighing less than 150 on fight night and dominate the best guys? This is about fairness regarding *weight* - not handicapping the better p4p fighter. You and the otherS saying the catchweight is bull**** are essentially saying "Pac has an unfair advantage because he's too GOOD!"

I am not a fan of catchweights but the reason I agree to this catchweight is because Mayweather completely disrespected his opponent by not making the weight last time round and just for the sake of it I would like to see him have to properly make the weight this time because compared to Cotto who made sure he made the weight Floyd showed no remorse whatsoever and he wanted to pull even more of an advantage over an already overmatched Marquez, I was disgusted just by him not making the weight and then for him to even refuse to lose it just put the icing on the cake so get him to come down in weight, Dam I would make him come down to 140lbs just for the sake of it lol, but on a serious note he shows no respect to his opponent and I cant hang with that.

NO, they are saying Pac has an unfair advantage because he gets to eat while training, and not starve himself, while the other fighter does.
