I've always thought that deep down Carl probably does respect Joe but does what he feels he needs to do.

    Thoughts?

Calzaghe msut respect Froch now, He is stepping up to the plate entering the Super 6, next fight will be a unification agaisnt a guy Calzaghe took 20 fights to face.

FRoch is benefiting from the super 6, but its a matter of time before he loses, there are superior operators in the tourney...

I think everyone in boxing respects the way that Carl wants to fight the best.

However I think that Calzaghe will form more of an opinion on Froch after the Kessler fight. Up untill now Froch has just been some guy that called out Joe without much justification.

Before the S6 I thought that Kessler would do Froch but the closer we get the more my head is telling me it could be Carls sort of fight.

the point really is..........WHO GIVES A **** WHAT JOE THINKS ?

He's retired let it be. I'm glad and I hope he stays off the TV too. Yeah Carl probably respects him but he's a British fighter trying to make a name for himself in the same division he's hardly likely to be praising Calzaghe is he and in the same instance taking his own shine away ?

I think Ward may beat Kessler too which leaves it open for a great fight between Carl and him as Kessler will more than likely be coming out to finish Carl off to try and get those 3 points

He probably respects JC's boxing skills, but not his warrior-like attitude

Deep down I think he does respect him - but I'd say there was more jealousy than respect, to be perfectly honest.

Mainly jealousy that Calzaghe fought hardly anybody worth a wank from 1997 to 2006 yet became a household name (within reason of course.....) whilst Froch is having to fight everybody at the top of the division and hardly anybody knows who he is.

    Carls sort of fight??

I dont think so. Kessler will take his time, break him down and make him pay when Froch lunges in like a drunk.

Froch fought absolutely NO ONE until Pascal so he could be accused of the same.

Thing is,when Calzaghe did step up and fight the best,he won. That will be the difference.
