He's only a half inch shorter than Cotto.

Cotto has a biiger frame than PAC he weighs in fight time at 160. His bones are bigger..Sure not calves, not certain parts of the body..But look at the core..Cottos thicker. And if it was this easy to fight across weighclasses. Why hasnt it been done often before?

No way he's a WW. Even though he'l whoop almost majority of WW fighters, it's still not his best fighting weight. Roach said, his best fighting weight is 138lbs, which means he would pretty much beat everybody from 135lbs to 147lbs. This dude is an animal!

It's not easy. Takes a special fighter with special physical attributes.

The fact remains that Cotto and Pac are virtually identical in all measurements. Larger frame...how? Denser bones, perhaps, but that clearly doesn't show up in the actual measurements. Their necks are the same, chests are within an inch unexpanded, Pac has thicker forearms and wrists, biceps are the same...I mean, I'm sorry, but if you put aside the "oh, but he came from the small guy weighclass" argument and look at the actual ****ing guy he's not that much smaller than Cotto who was always considered a very solidly built, if short, welter.

And let's not forget that he manhandled Cotto, who has never been accused of being a weak welter. Even with the supposed size or weight difference he outmuscled Cotto, took his best punches, and hurt him. He looked like the stronger guy.

To my mind if you're able to do that to a top tier welter, and you're anywhere within the welterweight limits, you're a welterweight, no question. It may not be his best weighclass, but he's fighting there, looking strong, and winning convincingly. That's enough for me. One things for sure, he sure as **** isn't a "natural" 130 pounder, and wasn't for quite a lot of the time he was fighting there.

Pac ate like hell just so that he won't fall too far from 145lbs whereas all the welters skip meals before the weigh-in to fit their MW bodies into a WW division.

Pac's power and punch resistance are one of ww so I would say so. He however has the proportions of a lightweight more/less.

He can make 140 so he is a JWW ...ITS HIS CHOICE TO KEEP THAT 147LB TITLE THOUGH...IF HE DOESN'T WANNA FIGHT AS HIGH AS 147 THAN HE SHOULD KEEP HIS 140LB TITLE AND DEFEND THAT...BUT IF HE WANNA FIGHT AT 47 THAN HE NEED TO BE PREPARED TO FIGHT AT THE LIMIT..PERIOD...

Why is it that everyone talks of Pac being a WW and being able to dominate in this division, but could he really beat Williams?

I don't think he could, nor could anybody say he's a true WW. It's similar to when Roy Jones went up to HW and beat John Ruiz - he couldn't have done it against a Klitschko they're too big. He picked a WW within his limits that he felt he could beat around the 144-147 mark. And fair play to him for doing it.

But could he handle somebody like Williams? Why isn't that being talked about if he's an actual WW. People slag Floyd off for ducking him, yet the same people aren't mentioning Pac and Williams in the same breath. But want Pac to fight Floyd at 147.

Hes awelterweight, fighters drasticly lose weight to fit in divsions that better fit them, I dunno why Manny Pac if thats the ****ers real name just took out who meny regarded as the number 1 welterweight today. neither was floyd mayweather, sugar shane modsley, nor oscar de la hoya was welterweights !! yet they move up and magicly fit in !! dont be stupid, roberto duran set off a gold rush to see how meny weight divsions you could climb
