Pac arm length 67 floyd arm lenght 72 paul williams arm length 81 nikolay valuev reach 85 paul is a beast man...the difference between his reach and valuev's is closer to that of paul's and floyds...guy is a freak
mayweathers defense is great against orthdox fighters, not so much against southpaws. Notice he has to fight a more regular fight and the shoulder roll doesn't help him as much. That's one reason Pacquaio's gonna cause him problems.
The PBF/Marquez fight is the wrong video to study Floyd for Pac's preparation. JMM was all the wrong style to beat Floyd. No way you can compare Marquez style to Pac. Marquez not a southpaw, flat footed, slow compared to Pac. Judah/PBF should be much better to analyze. ANyway, this is the most important thing I see, Floyd leans back alot exposing the body. A few feints to the head then strikes to the body might just be answer.
Go back and look at the clip at the very start of this thread......Marquez is not flat footed, and he's not slow at all. .....and its not the speed that troubled Marquez, but Mayweather's quickness to get off first. Theres a difference between speed and quickness. Pacquiao is fast, but he's not nearly as quick as Mayweather to get off. Imo it was'nt so much that Marquez did'nt have the style to beat Mayweather......but fighting a full fledged Welter like Mayweather, Marquez I believe could have made the fight alot more competitive against the attributes that Mayweather has if he was physically as strong as Mayweather is at that weight. In Mayweather's defensive style up close, he was physically able to toss Marquez around to force him to reset. Though very muscularly defined, there is not alot of mass to Pacquiao's upper body.......it will be interesting though to see if Pacquiao's thick lower body will suffice and prevent Mayweather's forearm antics from disrupting his advances.......it certainly disrupted Marquez', if it does'nt Pacquiao, it may be alot more competitive than I'm imagining it.
Its certainly possible that you're right.....at least I'm hoping against how I'm envisioning the fight will go that it turns out to be a great fight.
Aside from being a southpaw Judah is no more like Pac than Marquez. Judah is not a swarmer, not a combination puncher, his stance and style are completely different...there are no fights that you can look at in either Pac or Mayweather's past that gives much clue to how this one will go. They're both too unique.
oh dear. I didnt even read any of what you said because it is all void in the context of things. If he put in that performance vs a real welter--it has significance. A blown up lightweight at 36 years of age who he cheated at the weigh in-not so much.
110% agree....had this fight happend 2 weight classes lower and 3 yrs ago Floyd wouldn't have been so dominant and it would actually have been competitive....Floyd still wins, but it wouldn't have been embarrassing.
