Munroe is not the one judging i guess so well done to him, but it was close and he still needs to take a few more top 15 contenders to polish his skills because they aint that good atm.
Dunne would not be taking shots like that from a limited fighter like Maludrottu! He's too quick, has better footwork, and is just better all round really. Maludrottu is no Poonsawat or even Kiko so how you see Maludrottu stopping Dunne is beyond me!
But Joe's "pitter-patter" seemed to do some long-term damage. A scoring punch has to be meaningful. Edit: Before I get leapt upon by the Clazaghe haters - meaningful, as in causing harm or discomfort.
Agreed. Munroe was the stronger in the middle rounds but Maludrottu started and finished the fight well and threw the more effective punches in my opinion. Never 4 rounds of a difference in it. :huh
**** me you boys should watch the ufc if you want KO's each fight ....Munroes a boxer whose work rate is non stop.... he deserves a world title fight .... i appreciate the boxe and i always enjoy watching munroe fight !
Care to elaborate ?, I wouldn't call starting slowly(and therefore just giving away rounds) before leaning all over your opponent and pushing him to the ropes while throwing a crude body attack a master technician(and if he's the best in the UK then that's what he'd be). As I said I haven't seen tonights fight, but unless Munroe has turned into a World Class fighter overnight I doubt the truth in that statement.
After tonight I think Munroe has a huge problem in the gym. He's just a really physically fit and durable man. His corner seem to think thats the be all and end all. There was very little tactically from them and I think that is what will end up getting their man KO'ed as he moves up
Munroes problem is that the usual big gulf in class between Euro and World class is a massive gulf in class at the lower weights.
---------------------------------------------------------- oh ffs not another Dunne V Munroe debate. This BS has got to stop.
