i was ringside for the Estrada fight and the ref was right to stop it, Estrada had taken some good shots from kev, if it was the other way round or if kev is in that position i hope the ref steps in, they can judge when a boxer has had enough, thats what they are there for, most of the time, was you ringside ?
i totally agree with that, kev even has an AM would take instructions from his trainer but mostly he would act on natural instinct, if he takes a good dig and doesnt go down (which has not happened to date) he will then go for a tear up, its just him, hopefully he matures to box "smart"
Certainly wasn't ringside. The ref was right to stop it, I just mean it seemed like quite a strange shot that hurt Estrada, it didn't seem like a full blown body shot and it was more in the chest but he went over in a heap.
he looked like he was in quite a bad way even before that body shot im honestly not being biased has i said if it was kev i would be glad for the ref to stop it
I think Kevin will beat Prescott!! I think he'll stop him, Prescott is a 1 trick pony although it's some bloody trick:yep I just feel Kevin is well aware of what Prescott can do and will stay away from for the first 3 rounds.. After this I see Kevin breaking him up..
As long as he stay nice and compact he will have a chance, but if he gets caught with his chin out then its all over
has any one ever been impressed with mitchell there hasnt been a time where i was taken back with any of his skills or abilities i saw him struggle with a russian journeyman early in his career back in 06 since then he's looked somewhere between **** and average he was 1 shot away from being stopped by carl johenson who many thought was past his best, he was getting stunned by walter estrada for a couple of rounds before estrada was stopped prematurely to the clown who says he was at ringside how **** faced were u that night because if u had any sense of sight u'd know that stoppage was bull**** as for the fight with presscot theres no ****ing way u can teach a goood defence in a month or so to a fighter as wreckless as mitchell he's going to eat bombs on the 5th it'll be interesting to see how he responds to it
I've been impressed with Mitchell's chin and heart (he obviously loves boxing and enjoys a good scrap). He can obviously bang a bit too. However, his defence has looked sloppy right the way through his career. We'll see against Prescott if Mitchell has what it takes to step up with the main fighters in the division. Personally, i fear for him a bit against Prescott but i hope he proves me wrong.
wen i first saw prescott, i was one of a few that said that this is a tough fight for khan... imo prescott brutally sparks kevin mitchell within 5 rounds. if not then he can do it in 6 7 8 9 10 11 or even the 12th
Inactivity could cost him,no way should he be in contention for a world eliminator shot, when did he last fight and who against
Anyone know if this is still on, just seems to have gone quiet for a decent fight, little on the Warren website as of yesterday, just the one article on Nov 7th saying it looked like the fight was on! I know there are some mates of Kev's who read this can anyone confirm its still on and how does Mitchell look at present. If his hands hold up and he fights smart (big if I know) I fancy Mitchell by 4 or 5 rounds. Prescott can bang and they do come from strange angles and positions but Mitchell's chin is good (at the lower weight) He is by far the classier boxer having watched 2 full fights of Prescott (not including the Khan fight) Any news guys?
Looking forward to this if it materialises.... Kev will have to box intelligently to stay away from the bombs. Prescott while very limited has that punchers chance as always, and probably a good chance at that.
