What the ****'s going on with Sakio??? For all the hype and being a Contender winner in the US, it's translated to 3 fights in 2yrs and really, a sweet amount of **** all!!! **** I wish he would get in the ring and make something happen...
**** yeah, I really wish Sak could get a meaningful fight, he's shaping up to be a big waste of talent.
Spoke with Sakio yesterday. Told me he's been released from Jeff Wald his promoter in order for him to start looking at other options. Can't blame Sakio for being inactive. Ultimately its his management team which should be negotiating and closing his fights... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljBTE6a85AA[/ame]
He should just take the cash Mundine offered him and get that great local fight going :yep Or head back to the states and take on top 10 to 15s for a few fights and work his way to another title shot. Along the way he should have guys chasing him for his IBO title. I just want to seee him get back fighting :bbb
I can't believe I'm agreeing with Ash here about Mandy, but 100% right. He was offered great coin by Mandy and yet wanted more - a whole lot more! Should take it and make a great fight happen for all concerned. Earlier post said he's turning into a waste of talent, not far wrong there either.
He ain't earn't it before or after and sitting on his ass doing sweet **** all doesn't get you anywhere fast bar spending it until it's all gone!!!
Actually I'l second that, He was set to make a fortune in America by fighting hometown favourites. These days audiences might be more like 'sakio who?'
I was googling for some S6 info this morning to see if anywhere was showing the fight: http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2009/07/25/1248457705186.html?feed=fairfaxdigitalxml I do like the bloke as a fighter, but that article...
"Bika (27-3-2, 18KO) is easily the biggest puncher in the super-middleweight division, and his only three losses have come to champions Froch, Bute and Joe Calzaghe." i call bull**** on this statement i reckon Abraham, Kessler, Allan Green and Miranda are all bigger punchers the article as a whole reeks of nut huggery
