I don't place much emphasis on discrediting Calzaghe after tonight, none at all.

Also, I'm not suprised Kessler was cut as Ward was charging in all night to hold.

Well done to Ward, but I feel bad for Kessler.

Fair play to Ward he looked great & it will take some fighter to beat him.I would hate to see Ward v Dirrell though they would spend so long holding on to each other they will end up kissing

 

Andre thanked God in his post fight interview? Why didn't he just say thanks dad?

Kessler will win the rematch.

 

As well as Ward boxed, the referee was dreadful. The constant holding and leading with the head was shameful. How Ward wasn't docked a point in the 8th I'll never know - it was that flagrant.

Ward moved well and mixed it up, he deserved the win, but that was painfully biased.

 

Get the feelin Kessler's not happy.

Totally agree.

Ward looked excellent for the most part, but the ref didnt warn Ward once for holding or the use of the head.

Just think, if that fight had been in Denmark, the outcome could have been completely different had the ref done his job right.

Fair play to Ward though, he used those advantages and made Kessler look very bad.

 

I pretty much agree with Showtime's analyst. The headbutts hastened the decline for Kessler and made things much worse but it wasn't a deciding factor. Mikkel struggled to get to grips with Ward from the first round and wasn't really coming up with answers.

Didn't think the holding was that bad.

The holding was just skillful.

However Kessler will learn how to deal with this and also avoid being drugged before the final.

 

What I tell you? All along. Ward would be too much for kessler and would dance on him all night long. His footwork won that fight.
