And i mean NOTHING comes close... You have to watch the whole fight to feel that round. I remember sitting at home by my lonesome on a sunday morning when that fight came on fox for some reason(months after the fights date) And as i wasnt keeping track on the fightgame like i usually would i had no idea what was going to unfold.. I sat on the lounge for atleast 30mins not having a clue what just unfolded. That was boxing how it is meant to be. No bull**** just two blokes going toe to toe and against all odds 1 man standing victorious.. **** boys where's the tissues.
A few off the top of my head that are well worth a look: * Michael Moorer v. Bert Cooper Round 1. * Acelino Freitas v. Jorge Barrios Round 11. * Troy Waters v. Terry Norris Round 2 (I Think).
For a different sort of craziness, saw one on SKY KO a few years ago from an Australian bout. Don't recall the fighters, weight division, when or where but at the end of one of the rounds a scuffle broke out and then got compunded when one of the cornerman threw a punch at the ref. The Ref then responded with a nice combo and it was all on. They did interview the ref as the bit on KO was a 'remember when'. Total madness, someone with a better memory than mine may be able to give up some names. Otherwise, off the top of my head; Any round of Hagler-Hearns Holyfield-Cooper Rd 3 Eubank-Watson II Rd 12 Corrales-Castillo I Rd 10 (Of course!) Benn-Logan Rd 2 (Talk about pulling it from your ass!)
