Heard yesterday former H/W machine Jimmy Thunder is in the poorhouse. Living out of garbage bins in Las Vegas and quite punch drunk. This revelation comes from a very reliable source. Jimmy has obviously been used up, squandered his finances and has little support from those who 'befriended' him in the USA.

Jimmy was never overendowed with intelligence but considering his circumstances, calling him a dumb **** is pretty bloody ordinary!

No doubt Sally, your a long standing member of Mensa!

You're right however, Boxing should look after it's own, but the fact is, It dosen't and it never will.

    Sad but true

    I wondered where Jimmy was.

He looked and sounded punchy even when he was guest at an amature card in my home town.

Then the fight against Wilson when he looked like he was fighting under water!!:?

**** news if true. Came across him a few years back when he showed up for a Nic "The Terror" fight card at Moorabin Town Hall, he looked a million bucks, like a rockstar. Rock bottom never far away for discarded fighters.

    Sad, bad news that.

Always good to watch, Jimmy. Great natural power puncher, but often frustrated by smaller guys (eg Byrd, Ruiz) who could box and move.

Seemed to always be trying to reinvent himself, and had a different trainer every second fight. A rollercoaster 13 year career, and perhaps a very sad ending.
