Ugh Dugh!!! Jumping into a power punchers punch is pretty stupid last time I checked.

Im saying it won't work dummy. Cotto tried it and it failed. Why would Floyd use a gameplan that didn't work?

But can he hurt Pacquiao is the question. Judging from his other fights I think not.

Yes. But will Manny back up. Hell no. Manny would probably rather die than take a step back from Floyd. If Cotto's power shots couldn't back up Manny consistently, I doubt Floyd's punches could.

    Remember everyone:

    Mayweather landed

I don't expect Floyd to be the agressive fighter if this fight ever happens.... I think he will be the counter attack fighter, which means he will allow Pac to come forward...

I think that yes, Floyd does have enough power to back Pac up when he connects.

I'd like to see if that would be enough to deter Pacquiao's offensive though. It's one thing to connect with one, two or three punches, but what happens when Pac still keeps coming back throwing his own hell in there?

Beristain while preparing Marquez has keenly observed Floyd may have difficulty with the third and later punches in a combination.

Floyd realistically has only dealt with welterweight-class power once against Judah. Baldomir was so slow anything he threw was essentially a non-issue with Floyd's speed and defense. I think Pacquiao has shown he has at least serious welterweight power. And the crux of the matter in a Pacquiao-Floyd fight is that: can Floyd deter Pac enough with his accurate pot shots and; can Pac land and hurt Floyd with his third and fourth punches of his combinations?

pacquiao will be the aggressor, floyd will be the counterpuncher, as usual. Mayweather may not back pac to the ropes, but I see floyd looking for counter hooks/uppers.. As for pacquiao, he may find a way to break floyd's defensive shell.. Floyd better not be too aggressive or he may be kisising the floor just like the vid above..

Cotto is a bigger puncher than Mayweather and Pac took those shots well. Any logical reason to argue that Pac wouldn't be able to take Mayweather's shots?

Why would Floyd even bother trying to back up Manny Pacquiao? Why the hell would he want to do that? That's only something he'd try to do if Pacquiao was gassed and ready to go. Pacquiao gives Mayweather all the chances to do what he is most comfortable with. At the same time Pacquiao needs to put hurt on Mayweather. That's why its set to be a classic fight.

The problem with this is that Cotto was being careless and got floored. It was a mistake by Cotto that gave Pac the opening. I can't see Floyd making the type of mistakes that Cotto did.

Look at the guys that tried to be aggressive with Manny. They all have paid a terrible price.

Floyd will follow Marquez and keep Manny at bay.

He will back him up with the jab. Pac will keep coming and eat lead rights and left hooks to the ear. Pac will become frustrated and make a similar mistake to Cotto's, ending up in the same place. Pac will try to lure PBF into a trap backing up to the ropes. PBF does not bite and continues to catch pacman coming in. TKO in 6 or less. PBF retires.
