This Argument is SO FLAWED that its HILARIOUS!!!!

What he has done, is take an incident from a fighter (on this quickly put-together list) and has allowed that INCIDENT to be the "DEFINING MOMENT" in these fighters career.

And then...(If that wasn't enough) these fighters and the incidents in their "recent" fights...are somehow supposed to be the REPRESENTATION OF AMERICAN FIGHTERS.

    Andre Ward
After 100plus Amatuer fights, Olympic Gold, 20 Pro Fights...Now after a fight with Headbutts...THIS IS NOW WHO HE IS???

    Nate Campbell
So a fight in which his vision was effected...he chose not to continue...He is now a Quitter??

So is the Career of Roberto Duran tainted because he said..."No Mas".
And Because De La Hoya Chose not to coninue against Pacquiao and Hopkins...is he a Quitter???

And is your next Thread going to be called "Latino Fighters are Quitters!"

I cannot believed that I just wasted some precious time of my life reading and responding to this...UTTER BULL****!!!!

    :plzdie

I think the positive attributes remain the same, but boxing has become so much about protecing the '0' that it makes better business sense to be a bit boring, or ugly to watch, but get the job done. Fighters with good paper records almost always eventually get a shot, so why take any risks? In the not too distant past you would not be thrown on the garbage heap if you lost a fight, and how exciting you were in the ring had much more impact than the if that you hadn't been beaten.

I know there are exceptions, and over the last year or so things have been ok at the top level, but its a general trend that results in safety first, spoiling tactics bringing the biggest reward for smallest risk - much like the match making of many fighters today.

David Haye must be an American too then, because he ran and stunk the place up like no man before him did.
