He's fighting YAVOR MARINCHEV. That's the same Yavor Marinchev who fought (and lost) a 6-rounder with Larry Olubamiwo LAST FRIDAY on Sky. He's been stopped only once in 22 fights. He's also only won 1 of his last 11 fights. It's on the Barker/Elcock undercard....which is being screened live on ITV4 this Saturday evening. We'll have to wait and see if they show this one live or just slot it in when convenient, but either way it should defo be on the telly.
They'll show this one, ITV love Fury and plus the rest of the undercard isn't upto much, they'll show this, the Southern Area scrap and Barker/Elcock live usual format.
If Mr Fury wants to fight this level of opponent, then he needs to do it, 3 or 4 times every 6 to 8 weeks. Get in there, perform, improve and out. IF he wants to take better calibure then i can understand taking longer between each bout. The real Tyson took on two top 15 guys in James Tillis and Mitch Green in the same month.
That was when he got the injury, in that fight in Ireland. Looks another dire Hennessy undercard as usual, not sure whether I'll watch it live or just flick over for the main event. Such a shame after the promise Hennessy's cards on itv showed a year ago to the abomination thats been the last few months.
Yep, Hatton Promotions which hasn't even been set up for a year yet is doing better shows than Hennessy now atsch
Tyson needs better training and better sparring. Who he fights does not matter at the moment because he will not learn half as much in the ring as out of the ring. Fury needs to improve his fitness too. I can see him fighting a couple more of these low level journeymen before the McDermott fight.
