Agreed. He chose to use a style that could close the show rather than box and score. He'd need to show that side of his game.

Lil Nog has had much more success in the same boxing system than Vitor. Lil Nog is a legitimate boxer; south american amateur champion. Vitor would almost certainly lose a boxing match to him.

To answer the question, Bj Penn or Sherk seem to mix up their combinations as well as anyone in the octagon. But no UFC fighter could actually "make it" in Boxing.

I personally don't think Sherk's all that great of a boxer. BJ maybe, depends on what you mean by "making it." If that means top 100 in the world than I'd say no. If it means making a menial living at it, then yes.

I'd say Aldo. When he focuses on that aspect of his game it's very impressive. He knows how to block and roll punches, is quick as a cat on the counter and has a sharp left jab right down the middle. Either way, no MMA fighter would fare too well as a boxer, at least not once they'd stepped up the comp. You can't simply jump into boxing with solid fundamentals (used primarily for setting up other parts of your game) and athleticism and hope to be successful.
