Just go back and watch the contender, he's the perfect fighter for Kelly right now, he has skills but not enough power to hurt Kelly.

Well, he's capped off a nice run by retiring Terra Garcia (both in terms of their fight, and maybe in terms of Garcia's career) - Alejandro was a pretty good but not great fighter a few years back but has been on quite the skid.

That would seem to be his only experience with a known puncher, so how well his chin would hold up to Pavlik's onslaught is a bit of a question mark. From the little I've seen, there's not a whole lot in the way of defensive skill or pop that would manage to stave Kelly off for a full twelve rounds.

If Pavlik's actually willing to fight him then he must suck.

I would say he is a little better than "iceman" said. He was a standout amatuer he won quite a few jrgolden gloves, and was a runner up National GG a couple times. He also beat Collazo in the amatuers. I saw him early in his career against Eduardo when he lost a close decision. He has some good skills and fairly quick hands but his Power was on the below average side. Maybe its better know that he has matured but Im not sure. I would say he is a better boxer than Rubio but not near the same Power. Hes never been knocked out but I dont see him having the firepower to hold off Pavlik. I would say Espino is a top 20 middle but not a top 10 fighter.

Top 20, really? It's not that I don't believe you, there are just much classier guys inside the top ten...

That's what is so weird to me about Pavlik fighting this type of opponent - there are some fantastic match-ups to be made among some of the higher ranking but lesser known international talents that he's skipping over. Guys like N'dam N'jikam, Golovkin, even Karmazin..

YEY but more like at20. He is the type that might be a gatekeeper one day but not a real contender. He could beat a green prospect and be competetive with a lower top 10 guy,but if he were to pull this off it would definitly be a huge upset.

:nonoNa Espino would kick the crap out of Lockett, hes not that bad. I would say Espino would give Rubio a tough fight, hes more on that level.

He had a very close loss against Manfredo in The Contender. I would prefer to see Pavlik fight Mora that tournment.

Yey me too seemed like Mora got left in the cold after Pavlik pulled out of their summer Matchup.
