Most of us think he should but...

with Ward winning if he stays in supersix his next fight will be for the WBA super-middleweight title.

everybody is waiting on that decision for sure. But i think what you stated makes it all the more likely he fights on....another chance at a belt, not to mention another big payday, he does get paid more than any other Super 6 fighter. He's not winning that belt, though.

I think he should finish the tournament, barring another crushing KO. He's not risking a HOF resume at this point and like you said, he's got title shots coming up. As long as he's passing physicals like the rest of em, he should ride it out.

For anyone about to ask, its because he's fighting all his bouts away from home.

I don't think he'd bow out of things unless he absolutely had to. There's 2 guaranteed big paydays and a solid chance of two straight title shots (depending on how Kessler-Froch goes). If he can pull off the upset against Andre, all the sudden that potential second title fight (if Kessler beats Froch) turns into a unification fight. Those are huge opportunities and that's why I see Taylor sticking it out.

That's also one of the things I really love about the tournament not being single elimination; we get the chance to see how fighters respond to the adversity of a loss immediately instead of being sent packing.

not his next fight...Ward and Taylor are Americans. The actual site hasn't been determined. And he is the biggest name in the tourney, has the most credentials, although obviously the only one who is past it, on the verge of retirement even before the AA KO.

Gossen wants it in Oakland. Pretty sure ive read that exact statement aswell, in regards to Taylor's pay.

it is just nuts that JT after 2 brutal KO losses has another title fight in his lap. And it's cool. I agree with you.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't the other promoters in the first Fight Camp 360 bust Goosen for managing to get all 3 of Ward's prospective fights in Oakland during the preliminary planning?

i wouldn't be surprised if it's in Oakland. Ward is a big time draw out there. The fight there is going to get a bigger gate than anywhere else in the country.

it was more that he didn't have to travel overseas, the only fighter not to. Nobody really knows where Ward-Dirrell will take place, other than somewhere in the US obviously.

he should unless he learns to bend his knees, break through gards with uppercutts for both body and head, develop his own cover to protect himself while seeking his own shots, and stops working his jabs and straights until the point of exhaustion in reverse order.

Ward will make short work of Taylor unfortunately.
