If he gets Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year, we will know he has truly arrived. I doubt he will, though...I thought he would get the cover after beating Cotto, but all he got was a small article in the back of the magazine. Despite what you may think about Sports Illustrated, they are the top sports mag in the world, so seeing him on the cover of that would speak volumes about himself - and boxing.
I saw the list of nominations, Pacman actually has a decent shot they dont have Kobe or Jeter on it. The only that could threaten Pacman is Crosby and Tebow.
How can you miss Fighter of the Decade? Looks like there is no one close. Just that title alone, he will be at the ranks of Ali, Leonard, Duran, Jones...
IMO it should be time 100 most influencial people - it does not cover sports icon only but the whole world of successful people around the world!
