Which contender or jouneyman has had the most paydays?

    Only contenders or jouneymen, no former world champion. For me bobby gunn comes to mind he has had 2 world title shots which must of been 2 nice pay days. Who else comes to mind?

    Tua and Golota are both good shouts.

    Would say Glenn Johnson but for the fact that he did hold a proper world title for a couple of fights.

    Golota by far, he was given a shot against EVERYONE. Even after retirement Don King put him in there against all of his champions one after another headlining main events.

    He actually held the WBO world title though, are we counting that?

    Otherwise, it's a good one - Corley had 9 defeats in 12 fights, including against Mayweather, Cotto, Judah, Witter, Alexander...

    Bronco McKart has to be up there. He did hold the WBO title for exactly one fight, but he was never going to be the real champ as long as Winky was around.
