Want to start out saying, i love sam peter, i think he is a good fighter, and I think he is the second best heavyweight in the world. I do not believe tho, he has improved as much as most on here, and professional writers are saying. Lets look at his 3 big fights.

Wladimir Klitschko- Sam fought a good fight, but was totally dominated with the entire fight with an exception of a few illegal knockdowns and one legit one. (however, doesnt matter if yer dominated, if u get the knockout who cares). Point is he was beaten badly.

Toney I- Most though again that Sam outboxed, i had the fight even, but cases could be made either way. I felt that a dominant HWT should have been able to handily defeat this version of james toney.

Toney II- I had this one 8 round to 4 for Sam. Yes he did look much in this fight then he did in the first fight, but toney was so much worse in this fight i find giving all the credit to sam. I mean i know sam cannot train for james toney, but everyone is saying how greatly he has improved because of this fight. I don't want to take anything away from sam, he won the fight in a big way, but most of it was due to toney lack of showing up.

My conclusion, yes Sam Peter has slightly improved since he was defeated by wladimir klitschko, but no where near as much as he needs to be if he is going to have a chance to beat wlad. I believe they are the best 2 heavies in the world, but Wlad is still in the lead by a long way.

Guess u cant read the punch stat numbers? we can tell who was throwing punches and who was catchin punches, so i suggest you watch it again. or do you only watch 2 round of the fight and skip the other 10?

then what the hell was sam doin the whole match, getting punched and getting held. if the boy could box he wouldnt have been in the posistion to get held. sounds like he was just a punching bag in there.

    you never boxed have you??

:patsch If the ref is crap and allows one guy to run and hold, there aint nothing you can do about it.

peter just aint used to that ***** style of fighting. had the rules been enforced, peter would have stopped him.

Peter has improved - most notably in his use of a jab, which was the primary flaw in his game in the Klitschko fight.

IF he sticks to this, and uses the jab to set up his power punches, he has a darn good chance of knocking out Wlad is a rematch.

Very true, Peter is alot better now than he was 2 years ago when he fought Wlad. Peters goal in the rematch should be to try and take the fight to Wlad, Wlads Panics when hes hit hard and pressured. Peter will not win the boxing match so he shouldnt try to outbox Wlad, instead he should jab and time the right hand so it hits Wlad square on his china chin.

Peter was punching and running after Wlad...Wlad did run like ***** even tho he was bigger man. But Wlad did win the boxing match...I don't think he dominated the fight regardless of scores or punch stats. When I watch the fight I do see that he countered well and hit Peter with his best right that usually drops everyone else. He also ran from the fight and held on for dear life so you can't say that that a fighter dominated when they ran or held during 95% of exchanges...

:smoke If PETER trys fighting VLAD in any other way then he did the first fight he will get stopped early ! He has one chance and that is to make VLAD gunshy by going for broke ! If he trys to box VLAD will get confedent and PETER will get starched by the big right over PETERS poor jab ! Its an easy analisis !:deal

:rofl :rofl :rofl You know the Wlad critics are right - Ali is even more overrated than I thought ! Damn, they keep tearing down the legends :tong

2smart4u, where have you been? Me and mostly another guy have been sparring with multiple "Wlad/HW no good now" kool aid drinkers in another thread. It's fun for a spell, but it gets boring after a while too. Especially without equal numbers. You can not beat common sense into most of them :wall

Peter was given credit for 3 knockdowns, although 2 shouldn't have been counted since he clearly fouled, and he still lost by a huge margin.

    Eat that asswipe! :smoke
