Paulie by decision ... the better boxer will win the same way he won the first fight ... its amazing to see that Malignaggi doesn't have much power yet he was able to get respect from Diaz.

Yeah, I wonder if Paulie being a big Jr. WW fighting a blown up LW have anything to do with that... I wonder.

I bet you a few more weight classes down and she could probably KO Calderon!!! :p

Anyway, Paulie is not the better man. Paulie has never ever beat the quality of opposition Juan Diaz has, and infact, Paulie got two gifts and two beatdowns out of his five title wins, so in title fights he is 4L 1W.

i think paulie will win. in rematches when there was 1 or more wild scorecards(like in there first fight) i find judges tend to favor the loser of the first fight. and i think diaz did what he always does, come forward, throw a thousand punches, high pressure, low power. i think paulie (of the two of them) is more likley to make a change. he can use a bit less movement at times and trade, or work from outside and use his legs. but don't be surprised if diaz looks great and loses the rematch, that happens all the time too.

I favor a motivated Malgnaggi in this one. Crossroads fight for both guys.....neither one can afford another L.

:deal What he said. I thought Diaz edged him out the first time by a point. I agree that Diaz will turn it up a notch.

I thought Mali won it... either way we still agree Diaz can turn it up and Paulie either can't, or won't open up. He had plently of opportunities to score on Diaz in their first fight and he didn't take advantage of all of them because that's just the conservative way in which he fights. Paulie has the skills he just doesn't have the will to win this rematch...

    Diaz by SD.

I think it's Malignaggi that has room for improvement in this fight.....diaz is a good pressure fighter that throws punches-in-bunches.....he really is a one trick pony......comes forward, tries to get inside, and throws a lot of shots.....if he can't get through the malignaggi jab.....it will be the samething as the first fight out of diaz.....except paulie will be able to jab and move more without smothering diaz, he had to smother diaz in a small ring last time......paulie's right hand is the healthiest its been in years....he will use it more......

I see it as almost an exact re-play of the first fight, with paulie making the adjustments, and he wins anywhere from 115-113 to 117-111....

The one thing that concerns me is paulie sometimes is mentally not in fights.....if diaz wins this fight, its because paulie has a complete mental meltdown, like the hatton fight or zab judah style...

    hmm says . . .

paulie is gonna use more of his speed and fix his mistakes...... feather fisted so there will be no KO of Diaz for sure....... Diaz might pull a win though...

Why?? Because he has NO power. He compounds that by fighting going backwards and never steps into his punches. He's a turd, boring to watch and a waste of time. That being said he could easily beat Diaz on points.
