Lost to Hopkins as far back as 2001, never recovered, his best work was the decade before, the 90s.

I'm sorry but are you forgetting what Jones did the last 10 yrs?

Held the undisputed LHW championship beating anyone who was willing to fight ... holding all the belts (except the WBO) at the same time.

    Winning a HW championship ...

Fighting the best of the last 10 yrs ... with wins over Gonzales, Harding, Tarver, Woods, John Ruiz, Felix Trinidad, and Jeff Lacy ... most former world champions and most of those guys were at the top of their game.

Even more so he fought Calzaghe, Glenn Johnson, and Tarver 2 more times ... when he didn't have to fight any of them and probably would still have his incredible streak in tact.

Going up in weight is good for a small guy like Pacquiao but when you go up like Jones did there's a risk of getting knocked out with one punch ... and to lose by KO and follow up with 12 rounders in his come back fights is amazing.

Calzaghe made a fool of him (if he had any KO power jones would have been out cold early), Trinidad was a blown up over the hill welterweight, Jeff Lacy was one of the over rated boxers in recent times and the others are average boxers at best

he won ONE of the HW belts, the weakest belt held by the weakest champion in a long while.

He got sparked out or completetly outboxed by any live opponent he faced in the noughties

    2nd???

Jones was one of the best fighters of the 90's...1,2,or 3 depending on who you talk too. But to rate him number 2 this decade is crazy. He only one 1 meaningful fight this decade.(Ruiz)..2 if you consider the 1st Tarver fight. the Ruiz fight was good, but far from great. Ruiz is was perhaps the worst Heavyweight Title holder of the decade. Plain and simple Ruiz sucks. Jones is a hall a famer and a great fighter. The most talented fighter I ever saw. But he was not one of the top 10 fighters of this past decade. He was humliated twice by 2 fighters who will not sniff the hall of fame. Tarver and Johnson were good but not great and they knocked Jones Stiff. And don't forget Calzaghe shut him out last year.
