    ;)

Kessler is indeed underrated now. He was overrated before but he is still number one in smw imho. Ward won by technical decision because of cuts caused by headbutts. Before the first cut Ward was boxing excellent defensively. Very good counterpunching. After the fifth round Kessler was gone because he couldnt see. Kessler is the one of the best technical fighters, he is a phenomenon physically and he has good power to back it up. The jab is also picture perfect. But he faced a stylistically bad fighter in Ward and he was stopped because of cuts.

Bute was almost knocked out in the first fight against Andrade but he has now showed that he has the skill to even KO Andrade. Bute has very good technical skills and he has power to back it up.Bute is number 2 right now.

Ward showed tremendous skills but apparently needed to fight extremely dirty to get the win against Kessler. Kessler was headbutted five times. This is why he is still number 3 in my book. He could have outboxed Kessler, using his stylistic advantages instead of headbutting, holding and hitting his way to victory. Ward has very fast hands and he looks to be the type of fighter who can adapt and fight the fight the opponent doesnt want to fight. Ward still hasnt done anything besides Kessler and Miranda and that is maybe a bit too short, considering the way he won against Kessler.

Abraham is an unknown quantity at SMW. And he knocked out Taylor impressive. Abraham has Insane power, a very good defense but thats it. He is number four/five in my book.

Froch is a very old school pressure fighter who has a good chin and a good punch. He has no defence whatsoever and this could be a reason to put him at number five. But he has the best resume compared to Abraham, so they split the fourth place imo.

Dirrel showed some very, very good skills against Froch and it should have earned him the decision. However. He fought scared at times and he has no resume. Dirrel may be the future king of the division, but what Ive seen so far hasnt earned him a spot above the sixth.

Andrade is seven. He is a threat to anybody in this division because of his style, chin, heart and stamina. He got KO'ed vs Bute but anybody will go down from the body shot that Bute threw. It was picture perfect.

Pretty decent assessment. Apart from the fact that you can't count :good

Bad post. Good analysis of some of the fighters but no consistency. Ward was winning decisively before the first head butt. By the 8th round when the big clash happened Ward was already winning the fight easy.

Not really a Ward fan actually. Just telling you how it is. Ward did not cheat against Kessler. By the time the first big headbutt landed(he was fighting southpaw, headbutts happen when fighting an orthodonox fighter) he was already way up on the cards. disputing the fight just shows your bias really.

A non-biased list should look something like

    1. Ward
    2. Kessler
    3. Abraham
    4. Bute
    5. Dirrell
    6. Froch

Dont see why Bute would move up for beating Kesslers leftovers. Andrade is not that good. His claim to fame was nearly Koing Bute after being dominated for 11 rounds. How does that work for you?

I cant fathom the denial Kessler fans are in who said he lost due to head butts. It was a shut out from the start and Ward would win 100 out of a 100, doesnt make Kessler a bad fighter, just met the style to dominate him. I think Ward is very good

I pretty much agree on your list, but Ward hasnt whown enough to justify the number one spot. Furthermore. Bute has done alot more than Abraham at 168 and he should be put above him because of that.Otherwise we agree.

Was Kessler pseudo lineal or something because allot of people are saying Ward is the best SMW based on that one lonely victory.
