It ain't a robbery but I felt he deserved that few seconds til the bell. He was on his feet and answered the ref.

 

Taylor gets mad respect for trying to slug it out with the mexican martillo. Sad seeing how he turned out and hope he makes some good money off the book

Yea he was one of my favorites as a kid. I always wanted to see him and Pea meet up, but Chavez changed that. Early on he seemed destined to be great, he just had that flaw where he liked to engage even when he didn't have to.

 

I'd prefer to prove my point. Steele asks Taylor if we was okay with 5 seconds left on the clock. He'd then use at least 2 more seconds to grab his gloves and wave Chavez in...he had 3-4 seconds to run in on Meldrick and inflict life damaging punishment? I don't buy it. Chavez wasn't even in a stance to suggest he was in a rush to do anything. Taylor would have won the fight had Steele let it continue, no disputing it. I'm not criticizing anyone, I'm not discrediting Julio, ironically one of my favorite fighters, it's just all facts. Video backs it up.

I still can't believe how fast Meldrick Taylor was. Controversy or not I think it lives up to be named Fight of the Decade by The Ring

Have u seen Taylor today now imagine one or two more shots to the head from hard heating Chavez. Bsides did u see taylors face and chavez face after the fight that tells u was getting beat.

 

Yea it would be hard to name another fighter with that type of speed combined with his offensive arsenal. He was great to watch. I'm about to watch it now.
