You're a complete moron. These comments would make sense if one were to assume Roy was the same fighter when he first fought Hopkins way back when up until present day, which, of course, is impossible and clearly not true. And Hopkins gave Calzaghe a run for his money while Jones stood there and took the beating like a *****. Have you ever watched any of these fights? Or do you just post dumbass comments like this on the net? :hi:

Hopkins will go after Green to one up Jones

 

Everybody knows (except RJJ) that he has been shot for years now! At his peak many people on here proclaimed him to be GOAT. Bhop did not peak for about 8-10 years after that fight. It would have been great if there roads would have cross at that time.

Joe took forever to slap a guy out with a glass jaw . . .lol. If Green can KO him in one round that tells you how far he has fallen. do not get me wrong, I think Joe was a very good fighter but when I see crap like this, putting down Bhop who's great career is undisputed, ya kinda want to dump on Joe.

 

if you look at anyones resume that is how it works. Many opponents fight well vs. guys like Jones or Hopkins or Hearns at that level, and then the next fight they lose because the bigger fight diminished them and they were not as good after that. I do not see how the Kessler or Green fights affected the resumes of Calzaghe or Hopkins at all.

 

I don't think Roy was shot. I think he was diminished a little, but many guys fought diminished for years. Hearns did. Duran did, Chavez did, Evander Holyfield has been diminished for 10 years or so, but has he been a shot fighter? No and neither was Roy -most top guys do what Roy did. But with Roy's style he could win a few fights diminished, but eventually get hit on the chin.

 

Calzaghe = overrated garbage
