good find bigbone, but my take on it is, its a fight..... green was going for the kill, and threw a right hand, roy turned his head and it turned into a rabbit punch. In fact, unless your fighting sam peter, most of the guys that get hit with rabbit punches is because they turn their head or bend down.... ay, its part of the sport. Rabbit punches happen in just about every fight, its just going to happen in boxing..... if Roy hadnt turned his head so much, it wouldnt have been like that. Green is just doing what he should be. Good KO IMO..... roy should retire.

You sorta do. That **** happens all the time when you spar. It's painful but if you bend down, it's your own fault.

    It was perfectly legal.

If Green was to throw a straight right and Roy jumps 5 feet in the air and the punch lands on his nuts, would that be deemed an illegal punch?

    The shocking knockdown?

This is becoming a regular affair. Nothing shocking about it.
If he had learned to fight properly from the beginning instead of being such a clown with quick reflexes then maybe he wouldn't be floored so much.

No wabbit punch there, nice straight right hand that hit Jones behind the ear as Jones was turning his head. Nothing illegal.

Nice try on trying to start some bull**** though.

well said. this **** happens in boxing. i had a guy pull my head down and i gave him 1 in the onions, and i got called for the foul. if green was held to a fowl, you can't ever throw a hook! good non-call by the ref. let's not soil greens win. he ko'd a legend. even if roy is shot, thats what it is.

RJJ has the propensity to back up in the corner when being pressured and use that sort of defense trying to roll with the punches, turning his head.unfortunately this time the punch rolled right into the back of his head.

Um.. looks like a rabbit punch to me, but unintentional - if that exists.

But it was difficult for the ref to see. And had he seen it, how should he have reacted? Given Roy some time? Wave the fight off and make it a no contest?

At any rate I think Roy should retire, and under these circumstances the end of his great career is even sadder..

The punch would have landed right on the jaw and Jones turned away from it hitting the legal area.:good

The punch would have sent him down if it had landed full on where it was meant to land, but the punch looks to have been deflected and taken away some of the power element, so i think he got off fairly lightly all things considered imho:hey

Jones turned into it. His choice. His price to pay for turning (which in itself is illegal). Jones lost TKO 1,:thumbsup
